I thought we were under the 2nd apron but apparently we are like $9 million over and Mobley winning def player of the year while cool is really crippling as he goes from 25% of the cap to 30%.

All of this with Ty and Sammy heading to FA.

Feels like we won't be able to bring them back plus we have to make a move to get under the 2nd apron which means doing something with the roster in a negative way.

Here comes the break up the core 4 talk again just like all last offseason. Here comes the Garland and Mitchell both can't work together talk here comes the 2 bigs can't work together and Allen must go.

I think you misunderstand the point of being 'easy to defend' when you go into hero ball mode. It's a simple comparison to style of play and that's it big guy.

The Pacers built their entire gameplan on just getting MObley to switch and then going elsewhere with the ball.

SIakim was super aggressive in games 4 and 5 whenever Mobley went somewhere else but almost never, ever attacked Mobley 1on1.

In fact, no one did.

Notice how it felt like every time the Pacers wanted to get Haliburton a mismatch they went at who? Jarrett Allen. Never Mobley.

It was clearly something coached into them by Carlisle.


Rest of the team, quite frankly, didn't bring it defensively at all. Including Jarrett Allen.

Siakim took it to Mobley too. Not as easily. But he was the best PF in the series.

Crazy considering everyone and their mother and brother thought there were only 3 teams that likely could win a championship this year and those were the 3.
 
Add in the Lakers as the 4th most likely to win it

True... But one would also have to acknowledge how the games are being completely officiated night & day differently with intent from the NBA...

It evened the playing field...

Tonight is the kinda night that SGA would have 22 free throws...

the WWE style of playoff basketball plays right into Denver's hands. They are big and strong at pretty much every position. And forget SGA getting preferential treatment, Joker is the golden child in this one
