2024-25 Playoffs | Miami Series | Game #2 | Heat @ Cavs | April 23, 2025 | 7:30 p.m.

Garland.......now talking trash. Sitting him Saturday would not surprise me.

I bet you're just a lot of fun to watch games with. Yeah, let's sit our all-star PG who just had a fantastic game 1, a decent game 2, 1 assist shy of a double double. Everyone on the Cavs and Heat knows Hero is a bad defender, I'm sure the Heat are super offended that DG is pointing that out.

I know you're a troll but damn, even for a troll your takes are lame.

As much as I love it, Darius why would you give them any sort of bulletin board material man.
That crap is irrelevant. With high level athletes, there's no such thing as "bulletin board material."

  • The lineup that really carried the Cavs in the first half, and through much of that Cavalanche, was the Jerome + Merrill + Hunter + Mitchell + Mobley lineup. They were a +16 in 8 minutes across two quarters with an oRTG of 200. That lineup was also a +4 over 7 minutes in Game 1. So, if there’s a go-to bench lineup that Kenny may often go to, look for it to be that one.
  • While Dean Wade and Okoro saw some first half minutes, Wade saw none in the second half and Okoro saw just 4 minutes. Kenny is still looking for that 9th or 10th man to really grab hold of some extra minutes on the wing and Wade or Okoro have yet to take hold. Both were pluses in their plus-minus for the night, but they had just 3 points, 2 rebound and 0 assists in 15 minutes combined (with Wade being the 0-fer across the board). Luckily this year the Cavs are deep enough to sustain that but at some point, they’ll need one of them to step forth especially with how Herro and Mitchell have played offensively thus far.
  • Garland had a notable quotable in his postgame comments about the Cavs hunting Tyler Herro on defense and we saw some of that in the 3Q. Herro recognized the Cavs hunting him in game one, and it didn’t stop. Across two games, Cavalier players are 21-for-33 when Herro is the individual defender. While the Cavs may have gotten too carried away at times in the second half, you can see why the Cavs are picked on Herro.

You guys haven't seen these upside down logo hats? They been doing em for years for all sports/teams . . .
That upside down Yankees logo is getting very close...

Cavs have a new man on their roster. “8 second”. Killer name. Reminds me of Scissor Seven.

In my continued advocacy for Dean to get more minutes, just a reminder that through 2 games his plus/minutes per minute is like 3x higher than anyone else. Granted it’s a minuscule sample size, but still, his 11 minutes of non-garbage time have been great.
