The East is going chalk 1 thru 3 seed in the 1st round. Now the 4 and 5 spots ala Mil. Indy. Det and possibly Orl are up 4 grabs.
 
Mitchell brought it tonight! Super efficient.

I was worried about Garland. He didn’t look quite right after bashing his head. Hopefully, he shakes it off with a little rest until Sunday.
 
  • KAT was frequently getting mismatches in the post and the Cavs were willing to live with it, if not invite it. Like that of how they play Jayson Tatum, Kenny is willing to live with the switch and hope the opposing team continually plays into it instead of playing into their offense.
  • If the Knicks want KAT and Brunson to go off, so be it – it’s not very often two players can beat five players. If it comes at the expense of everyone else, it’s something the Cavs can live with. The rest of the Knicks starters had just 26 points for the entire game.
  • The funny thing is the strategy the Cavs used against the Knicks is the same one Thibs used against the Cavs in the playoffs. Let Mitchell and Garland get theirs but don’t let the others get theirs and make them beat you. The pieces around Brunson and KAT were simply not ready to step up to the extent the Knicks needed.
  • The strategy that Thibs always had luck in making Isaac Okoro or Cedi Osman beat him now has Mobley, Strus, Hunter, Allen and others ready to make that leap.

Thought he knocked himself straight into a concussion. Got smoked in the face and then like within the next play faceplanted onto the court from mid-air.

Thought he was done, and for a while.
