2024-25 Season | Game #68 | Cavs @ Clippers | March 18, 2025 | 10:30 p.m.

I'm just going to assume you weren't thinking because it was 1am when you wrote this. Humans can get stronger with work. Humans can't get taller with work.
Don't get me wrong. I love JA, but a 34 yr old TT does a better job against big guys than our borderline all-star C, and that's a flaw.

Yeah, I was thinking. Allen is not built like TT or Zubac. Genetics.

You can get stronger up to a point but I don't care how much iron is pumped the vast majority of 6-9 players won't be built like LeBron. Same applies to Charles Barkley, Shaq, Myles Garrett etc.

Allen is wiry and mobile; Mobley even more so. Same with Kareem. Wes Unseld was MVP his rookie year as a 6-7 center because the guy was massive.

Allen isn't massive like Embiid or Zubac or Jokic or even IH. It's who he is.

Really needed to have won that Orlando game because 5 game road trip = losing streak now

We have lead OKC basically most of the year that lead will be gone when they get back to Cleveland
I told ya all no one wanted to believe me

The dumbasses who call JA soft or weak stay completely silent when he blows past the bigger slower centers for a slam or an agile layup, like it never happened. They don't say a word when JA uses his quickness to slide over from his man and contest drives to the paint, and sometimes block and almost always alter shots. They never mention how JA puts up double doubles night in and night out, and at times dominates the boards.

Apparently the good things he does must hold no value to his critics.

Yea but Kenny didn't play Evan in that game against the Magic cause he needed Evan to drop a 30 piece vs the Kings in another loss...

He's playing 4D chess...

I have very little patience with fans or media who attack a player because he isn’t as fast or strong or athletic as another player. It’s completely unreasonable.

“Why aren’t you as fast as Usain Bolt?”

Jim Chones talked about being a hardship center in the ABA. His contract was nominally as high as Kareem’s. In reality the deferred money meant it was not as good but fans couldn’t see that.

He heard fans yelling “You’re being paid as much as Kareem, why aren’t you as good?” It really messed him up and as a hardship case coming out early it was hard on him and that negatively affected his play.

JA hasn’t missed a game and clearly has a hand injury. He battles hard but something the opponent is bigger. What’s the point of attacking the man for being outmuscled? That is NOT the same as being soft or weak or not tough.
