Pff has long shown a strong bias towards the browns because of our analytics department

I have several models studying this phenomenon, along with damning statistical evidence that I will NOT be releasing as it is proprietary

But just know, pff sees what they want to see with the browns. They’re in the business of getting more people into their business

Should the Browns explore buying low on Anthony Richardson?

He's younger than Shedeur Sanders and Garrett Nussmeier and just 3 days older than Cam Ward.
Personally, I prefer QB's who can throw the football.

(I don't think the Colts are just gonna dump him. If they were, I'd love him as a backup and a reclamation project, but they aren't going to dump him just yet).

One thing is for certain, IND is ruining him. If you draft him at #4, you have to play him unless he can't go due to injury. They're not going to come back from this.

Look at this guy

Were a week removed from bad QB play and he already misses it!!

So admittedly I'm going purely off the "2nd draft guy" concept here.

Anthony Richardson has been bad. Very bad. That's certainly not up for debate.

But he's also only 10 starts into his NFL career after only making 13 starts in college. The traits are elite. He just needs time to develop.

I'd be interested at the right price (a very low price).

Trey Lance might be available, too.

I'd MUCH rather spend resources on unknown guys that likely bad (because of NFL games played). If he can be had for a 5th, or worse, than I'd think about it; but I doubt they come off him for that.

Sign Winston to a decent deal.

Draft a WR/OT/LB/DL etc and keep building the roster unless you can get Ward/Shadeur.

Next year you take a QB and let him sit behind Winston for a bit.

I think this is certainly reasonable.

Just to be clear, I’m not at all talking about giving up any sort of premium pick for Richardson. And I’m also not sure the Colts are ready to just dump him for nothing. But if they want to sell low…

Can we get him to be a back-up to Flacco, at a reasonable price??
