2024 NBA Playoffs

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I have a bad feeling GS will make an aggressive offer for Embiid. They have many of their future picks along with Kuminga, Moody, and Podziemski. It may be their best chance at another championship considering their core group of players are quite old by NBA standards. I could see Embiid pushing for it as well.

I believe Kuminga and Moody will be restricted free agents this off-season, can they still be traded before free agency begins?

I really like this Knicks team as a basketball fan. They play the game the right way and have a lot of heart. I expect them to make ecf.

On Embiid. I don't like the way he plays. He is so damn skilled but he has less body control than our baby giraffe. He already ended Danny Green (his own teammates) career. Why do this still.

Lastly on Tobi. He was super overpaid at 41m a year, but he is on my shortlist of FA targets. If he is willing to take an MLE and slot in as a 4th or 5th guy, he is still valuable

They didn’t cherry pick their opponent either and should be rewarded for their efforts…

Who cares if they do? I’d be kind of interested to see how Steph played with a real center. I’d also be interested to see how Kerr used him in that system.

Kuminga and Moody are RFA next year. GSW would have to trade Paul, Moody/Podz, Looney, and a bunch of picks. If Embiid continues to be hurt they would be in some trouble moving forward. I’m sure Philly would look to find someone else to take CP3. It’s really not that appealing of an offer as a whole.

Memphis would be a team I think would be interested. Bane, GG Jackson, Kennard, and bunch of picks (including a probable top 6 pick this year) be pretty good for Philly. Bane is pretty much a perfect backcourt pairing with Maxey, Jackson is a wing on the rise, then they’d have a high pick this year plus cap room to add other players.

Give me a Boston / Denver (or Minnesota .... or even Dallas) finals.

In the absence of Steph Curry, this New York Knicks team is at the top of the hate totem. No complementary words.

Brunson is a grifter and Josh Hart must be destroyed.

In no world would I ever root for Boston over this Knicks team. Crazy talk.

How is Brunson a grifter lol. Is his scoring fake or something?

Do you think they would not be willing to make Kuminga the center piece of the deal or are you saying it's still a weak offer with Kuminga included? If the framework looks like Kuminga, Moody/Podz, 2-3 first round picks, and salary fodder (I am guessing like you said Paul and Looney, but may be Wiggins or Thompson would have more suitors so therefore be a better candidate here), then I would definitely use that deal for leverage against other teams if I were management in Philly. I think if Embiid is willing to play there and the other offers are only marginally better then I would pull the trigger on it. I think those first round picks depending on the protections could be quite promising.

It's very much the type of move to win as many titles in the next two - three seasons before guys start to break down physically and decline in performance. I feel they are stuck in an uncomfortable position as a franchise. Either they retool and try to run it back with this core group of guys and hope the young players continue to make strides or make wholesale changes by trading away all of their youth on the roster and likely for the next three drafts. I believe they won't even consider moving on from Curry and Draymond in order to rebuild.

Morant, JJJ, and Embiid could be tough to beat. It would be a difficult choice for Memphis because they could stay the course and continue to add youth while waiting for a star who is not a 30 year old center with a long injury history. Their core guys are locked in for a while and obtaining Embiid really turns their situation into a win now mode. Do you want to deplete your assets for Embiid and risk being unable to fill out the rest of the roster around those core guys or continue to accumulate young talent for someone less costly... Tough call. Same for GSW.

There also interesting discussion on whether Embiid would be a good fit in SAC with Fox and Sabonis or NOP with Zion and whoever else. Could Embiid share a front court with Sengun in HOU?

I can’t stop laughing looking at some of these proposed Embiid trades. Poo poo platters for the consensus MVP this season before he got hurt.

Anybody who wants Embiid has to deal with Morey. People would have an easier time trying to get a discount for the best car on a crooked auto dealer’s lot than getting a cheap deal for Embiid from Morey.

Knicks Wolves would be a lot of fun if (lol) we are out of it. I think Denver repeats still at this point.
