2024 NFL Off Season

Isn't this just a sportsbook's manipulation tactic to get more money?

Start to move the odds and people assume it's happening for a reason. They jump on it before the odds shift further. Meanwhile everyone knows it isn't going to happen and all that money just goes into the sportsbook's pockets.
I think it could be sportsbook manipulation to balance out/bring in more bets after betting on Drake or Jayden slowed down. It's also possible betting activity coming from Washington insiders caused a sudden shift, too.

Crazy that this is getting traction, but Washington has been 'in' on everyone, so I assume it's smokescreen. I'll see it when I believe it.

Was thinking about this earlier. Harbaugh’s been known to do some nutty shit and he obviously loves JJ. What if they looked at their division and cap situation and decided their best path was to draft JJ at 5 and then trade Herbert for a massive haul of picks and players? What could you get for Herbert in that situation?

I know it’s unlikely, but the past has shown it’s kind of difficult to rebuild a team with a QB on the type of contract Herbert currently has. Most of the time when teams get rebuilt, it’s with QBs on rookie deals.

If this is the case, then Dean Spanos would fire Harbaugh before the paperwork could be finalized. There is a zero percent chance of this happening.

I mean even if we can’t land them, it’s cool to see players have relations issues

I think J.J. is the sucker bet for a desperate GM who didn't get in on the Caleb/Drake/Jayden sweepstakes. Which makes sense Washington would think of taking him at #2.

If I was a Minnesota/Denver I would rather trade with Atlanta (offer their 1st, a 3rd and '25 4th) if one of the top 3 WRs made it to #8 and get back in the late 1st (2nd and '25 2nd) for Nix/Penix and gain their 5th year option than give up assets for a trade up for J.J.
Seconded, nobody in CFB was surround and insulated by as much talent {and some hearty cheating schemes} than JJ & the Maize & Blue!

Just also believe he's small relative to a franchise guy and will take far worse hits in the NFL proving his legs to be nullified as a weapon that he readily utilized at the CFB level. Just don't know about the durability of his play style given his build. Always need to envision can this QB take a hit from a 300 DT and live to play another down?!?! As that is the reality of the NFL Level Any Given SUNDAY

I view him as a day two level selection and a Top 75~100 player in this draft class

Precisely. It undoubtedly is just that!
