2024 NFL Off Season

Trey Lance is simply terrible...

Crazy how butchering a selection like that and still be the favorites to make the super bowl (SF) is possible...

Dallas does not have a backup QB...

It's only because they got the single best Mr Irrelevant pick in the history of the sport. Imagine Purdy was as bad as every other last pick?

I don't know how so many scouts sold themselves on Lance being a top 10 pick. Just tossing out everything learned.

You simply can't draft a guy with that tiny ass amount of tape, at a non-D1 school no less.

He plays what amounted to a year and a half of games. Sat at the Covid year. Then turned pro.

I was stunned when he started flying up the boards. It made no sense and a lot of people look foolish now.

A conclusion to San Fran's self imposed conundrum.

Is this bad? :chuckle:

Revisiting the Brian Burns, Bryce Young, and Christian McCaffrey trades:

the Panthers basically traded:

+ QB Caleb Williams
+ RB Christian McCaffrey
+ WR D.J. Moore
+ 2023 Round 1 pick (top-10)
+ 2023 Round 2 pick
+ 2024 Round 1 pick
+ 2025 Round 1 pick

in exchange for:

+ a 1-year rental of Brian Burns
+ Bryce Young [5'10"]
+ OLB D.J. Johnson [PFF's worst-graded EDGE in 2024]
+ 2 Round 5 picks

I don't get it.

How did Carolina trade for a one year rental of Burns? They drafted him.

And there are a bunch of picks missing...

My best guess is that the author is factoring in what the Panthers lost by not trading Burns a year earlier?
