2025 Season | Series #4 | White Sox @ Guardians | April 8-10, 2025

Watch where you’re going there youngin’.

I mean, I am naturally one of the youngest guys on here lol

And I probably live with someone older than anyone here, so I got the right to say a little bit lol

You've said this twice now, do you have a link to back it up? I believe you were asked before and couldn't find one.
And I replied the last time.

I dont know how to supply links, and it's only a matter of doing some simple research.

If you truly want to get a clear look at any trade...or any rumored trade...you have to peruse the views from the other side, in this case those people who cover the Rockies.

*********

You can wait until kingdom come, but Jones is not gonna have another 2023, because he simply isn't that kind of hitter...unless he has a ton of luck.

He also has a chronic back problem, which isn't gonna permanently disappear with the wave of a wand.

*******

Of course, a non producing player with health issues is gonna be released, if a team has a plethora of decent looking youngsters that play the same position.

Are we really advocating to keep him, and block Delauter and/or Valera when healthy?

Thats exactly what the situation was in Colorado.

But our FO panicked. It's quite possible that they could have waited a week or so, and picked him up for a bucket of balls.

*******

And yes, we should not have traded Freeman for him.

I thought you were on record saying that Freeman was the player that teams want and yet all we were able to get was a player worth a bag of balls? Something doesn't reconcile unless the FO really is that dumb. But their record does not back that up either...

Well I took your advice and found absolutely nothing hinting he was going to be released. In fact according to the one article, linked, they went and signed a journeyman stop gap after the trade. I get it you don't like the trade but don't make statements and then basically belittle anyone asking you for proof.

You consider Jones' back issue to be permanent yet you expect DeLauter and Valero to magically be healthy? Jones might well never repeat 2023 but at least he's able to play for more than a few weeks without going back to the IL.

I dont expect anything from Delauter or Valera.

I dont belittle anybody, but two reporters who cover the Rockies wrote about the dilemma the Colorado faced with Jones' roster spot....and how to get playing time for their other youngsters this year.

Throw strikes, Triston.

It's the only thing you have to do tonight.

Three of those pitches were a foot away from the zone.

..Angel Martinez's move in and to his left was purely instinctual.. excellent play..
