This is fairly significant news. We are looking at $63M of cap credit from 2026 onward and this has been a major issue since he still has $131M (!!!!) in dead cap (the amount that we need to account for via the cap from 2026 onward).
To simplify: $131M - $63M = $68M. In English, we have to cover that via this year and void years. It'll be front-loaded to this year, but to keep it super basic, you can look at it like:
1. 5 years makes ~$14M/year for 1 year of play then 4 void years.
OR
2. Just a little more granular, and yes I am a serial rounder: $23M for 2026's one year of play ($45-$9-$8-$5), then an average dead cap of ~$11.25M per year for 4 void years.
Go easy on me, this was just me going fast.
