Yep, he's fine. Could've just been a dehydration issue.
 
20 yr old SS prospect Welbyn Francisca is hits another HR in his 4th straight game tonight for Lake County, giving him 15 HR now on the season in just 54 games.

In the 45 games he’s played total since joining Lake County, he has hit 14 of his home runs.

2025 - 3 HR / 98 Games
2026 - 15 HR / 54 Games

The power breakout is really nice, but I'm a bit disappointed in his quality and consistency of ABs. Not sure he's an avg pure hitter, but in terms of age/level, it's very promising what he's doing. That said, wouldn't rule out using him as trade chip, also because I don't think he's a ML SS.

My trade chip list is something like LaViolette, Curley and Francisca

Francisca is 20 and is having an offensive breakout at High A. He was a (for Cleveland) marquee, high dollar IFA signing because of his tools, which he’s flashing now. Why the rush to trade him? Can’t he improve at short or potentially move somewhere else on the diamond if he’s not good enough defensively there?

MLB.com lists him at 5'8", 145, but from the video it's clear he weighs more like 180.

He reminds me of Jose. A squatty little switch hitter with pop who started out as a SS. He's coming on like gangbusters. 9 home runs in 15 games. Fangraphs did not list him among our top 46 prospects this spring. He hit .229/.622 at Hill City last year.

Hope he ends up closer to Jose than to Juan Brito.

Kid is 20 years old. He hit 3 HR last year, has 15 now already after missing a chunk of the season. Why on earth would you trade a kid who has improved that much in 1 year only again 20 years old old!?

Guardians aren’t making that mistake twice. They can’t afford to so they will wait to see what this kid has and develops into for at least 2-3 more seasons before sending him off somewhere for Tobias Myers.
 
I'm wondering when recently promoted 19 year old Dominican switch hitter Luis de la Cruz will start attracting a bit of serious attention. He wasn't on anyone's Top 50 in the organization when the season began, but it appears he's starting to make a few waves, no? Playing more in the OF lately, but has spent time at 2B as well.

I've been putting his name up every week as he's been in the Fangraphs top 5% of minor leaguers for some weeks now. He's off to a good start at Lake County going 11-for-33.

As of today Fangraphs ranks him 141 out of about 7,600 farmhands. That's 7th among Guardians' prospects behind Genao, Velasquez, Walton, Ingle, Chourio, and Schubart.
 
He has a professional looking swing I will say that in my limited amount of times seeing him… that stood out immediately for me.

That's my fault; I make it a point not to miss those postings of yours but for some reason de la Cruz never registered with me until recently. Had never seen him specifically discussed or heralded anywhere previously. Looks like he'll be on some radar screens when our organization is evaluated this winter though.
