2026 NBA Finals: New York Knicks vs San Antonio Spurs

Hart with 14 rebounds and 4 steals.

New Orleans didn't trade him the deadline we got LeVert. But he, along with Derrick White and Eric Gordon, were the names with LeVert being discussed as deadline targets in 2022 as we tried to make a playoff push.

But here is what the Knicks traded the next deadline for Hart.

Cam Reddish, Ryan Arcidiacono, Svi Mykhailiuk, and a lottery-protected 2023 first-round draft pick (which later became Kris Murray).

This is what we traded for LeVert.

  • Ricky Rubio
  • 2022 first-round pick (lottery protected)
  • 2022 second-round pick (via Houston)
  • 2027 second-round pick (via Utah)

I often wonder where we'd be if instead of LeVert in 2022 we had managed to trade for Hart instead. Rubio's contract was expiring, so it isn't like we could have flipped it to the next summer. So I'm not blaming Koby here. I just remember Hart was at the top of my list of the potential trade targets that February deadline and man...everything would look different with him on the team.

i think knicks will win it. they are on a mission, and more importantly, they are on a roll. spurs were happy to just reach the finals. same with the cavs being happy to reach WCF. knicks? they know within themselves they want the championship. that makes a whole lot of difference.

I think and this is me - Hart, Brunson and Bridges just play together… Not sure if that happens elsewhere with Hart elsewhere …

from college to pros. is there any precedent where a trio of players who won the NCAA title also wins the NBA title?

I know he can cry some for some fouls which he wasn’t getting and still making late this game but just a really hard player to not root for all things considering
I think the Knicks have some players that are really likeable - their fans kill the vibe though…

But I have some close friends who are Knicks fans. A really close friend of mine owns a bunch of bars in Brooklyn and a sports bar…

He did not text me once during the Cavs series…

That’s respect…

Not all Knicks fans suck…

I also had to block one on social media - IG and FB lol - he still can fuck off…

100% agree the team just from the players on the court and how they got to where they are and the games they bring incredibly likable the fan base and maybe wanting to hate on New York in general is the only knock
