Stefanski off to a great start
I don't blame KS for what has happened thus far in the offseason, but for those keeping track of what he's working with:
-Still excellent RB and WR1 tandem with Bijan and Drake London.
-No FRP at this juncture.
-QB situation is a mess. Penix underperformed and now Cousins apparently will be released. Cousins's last 7 starts to end the year had the team go 5-2.
-One FRP from last year had an "incident" with the law, and at this point I think enough facts are out there where sweeping it under the rug isn't going to happen. I have no strong feeling about this and haven't looked at this in detail. He probably will not play in 2026, we'll leave it at that.
-The brought in Tua. I don't even hate that, given that Penix was injured and still didn't play well. Lotto ticket.
The biggest thing going for them is perhaps that they are in a weak division. That can change quickly. They are currently at o/u 7.5 wins (8th worst) and the Browns are at 6.5 (6th worst) as of this post.
I am not optimistic about the Falcons because I think KS kind of got shafted here. I don't harbor strong emotions about KS - I wish him well but I don't think well is coming in 2026. Hopefully they cut him some slack.
