2026 Off-season Thread

Maybe Harden should be playing only 28 MPG until Dec but they probably need him to be able to handle 30-plus minutes once the calendar flips to 2027. I think averaging between 32-35 minutes in the 2027 months should be the goal

lol.
Nope
It’ll get called on the Cavs
They’ll protect SGA, Tatum, Brunson, Brown etc

However, if they actually enforced it fairly, it would be nice
Nearly every star in the NBA uses their offhand. And nearly every strong defender gets into other’s space on straight line drives (another point of emphasis). I’ll believe the consistent enforcement of these things when I see it. No one wants to see every bump called on defense or every elbow of shoulder used to create space on offense. My guess is they will come out and make an example the first few weeks, the players will adjust some, the refs will eventually relax, and by March not much will have changed.

Was nice to hear he was going to consider Tyson and Watson "vets"...maybe that will prevent either from getting yanked randomly out of the game and get some consistency.

I remember when they were putting an emphasis on calling a delay of game after the scoring team touched the ball, but now they barely do it because calling it every time led to the delays of game they were trying to avoid.

He grew a set over the summer

That's likely a case of headline miscontruing his answer.

I highly doubt it was Dean saying he didn't have a chance to compete for a title in CLE

He decided to leave CLE for a variety of reasons

He chose PHI over OTHER leave CLE opportunities due the the high end talent on their roster. It's more about PHI vs other teams that made Dean FA offers than PHI vs CLE
