2026 Regular Season Thread

Arias ends his 2026 MLB stint with over a 50% K rate against lefties, 23 in 44 PA. And to think even this year he was put in any spot other than the bottom third against them. SMH, now we will see how much "talent" other teams see in him. Tbh I would be surprised if he passes, just because he can play defense and other teams may think they can fix an athletic guy offensively.

Arias was once talked about playing regular OF in this forum. He got DFAd before that happened. I'll buy into the Bazz in the OF when the front office shows that is an option and that they plan for it.

Man this time of the year is just crazy.

Within the past 3 days, all of these guys have been DFA’d or outright released.

This offseason, most on here would have been happy if ANY of these guys were brought on as the RH outfielder we so desperately wanted/needed.

I included Fairchild too because he was the one we could “afford” or wanted to pay I should say and brought on.

1) Everson Pereira DFA
2) Jorge Soler DFA
3) Marcell Ozuna DFA
4) Stuart Fairchild DFA
5) Austin Hays DFA
6) Rob Refsnyder Released

With Arias DFA... and how many guys are in the DFA limbo, I'd be very surprised if we didn't try to claim someone who can be optioned... Can never have too much talent down the stretch...

They're still only three games out of first. Angel just went 4–5 and the team has improved with the new additions because of Antonetti. Yet you said, "Another year of Antonetti doing a piss-poor job." This take don't really line up. Are you also happy they lost tonight? Clownish behavior.

Since being recalled on July 1st 2025, Rocchio has a 100 wRc+ in 721 PA (including postseason). His BABIP 295, so no luck involved
Over the past two months, it's a wrc+ of around 71 with an OPS in the low .600s. He had a good run through May, but the underlying batted ball metrics never really improved.
