2026 Season | Series #12 | Guardians @ Royals | May 4-7, 2026

Am I the only one that feels like we should just let Fry and Hedges take all the catching at bats?

So sad watching Kwan pull/lift in every goddamn AB and wasting the rest of the field.

He's always been an all fields hitter. Now he watches outside strikes go by because he can't lift them/is not looking for them.

Fuck Grant Fink and this stupid hitting philosophy. Hes been a crappy minors "power" hitter and he's making our young players worse. Fire him

Agree, Fink probably needs to go.

WTF happened to Kwan? Figured with ABS he’d be kicking ass.

Bo is cooked, bad luck be damned. But can you really ship him to Columbus? Think you’d have to replace him with Ingle or Huff who are both having fine seasons.

The play should be a straight swap Naylor for Ingle, but who ya booting off the roster for that?

I am not against a change of the hitting coach...

We need someone from an organization that always has hitters and can fix our issues...

t seems that way, but it ain't so.

Kwans pull, middle, and opposite field rates haven't changed since he arrived.

Whats problematic is that his EV, always low, is now an anemic 82.1...vs a career 85.7.

White Sox with their shot to take the division lead lol

Kwan’s hitting approach gives me IBS

At this point, send Naylor down... I know his luck has been bad as well, but get someone else up here...
See above.

I’m fine with that, but you’d have to swap him with Ingle though I think.

Had a chance scoring 3 runs with Rig pitching, but unfortunately he did not have either his best stuff or his best command. Threw two spinners right down the middle for home runs.

Gavin's fastball is easy to hit when it's up in the zone. Even Sal Perez hit a 97 at the top of the zone for a 2-RBI single. Sal is 36 years ond and hitting .206. Gavin's fastball has to be at the knees, on the inside or outside corner, or above the zone. If it's in the upper half it's going to get squared up.

In his last start Gavin went 7.2 innings with no walks. So what does he do this game? Walk the leadoff hitter. I knew right then it was not going to be his night.

Jose still can't hit left-handed. 0-for-4 tonight and he didn't hit anything hard.

Holderman dominated, retiring 1-6 in the Royals batting order easily. His stuff was exceptional and he mixed it up. Hit 97 with the fastball. His signing could end up being another front office success story. No runs allowed in his last 5.1 innings and just 3 hits.

The Guardians score 6 runs in the last three games - all on home runs. They're not getting many runners on and they're not getting base hits with RISP.

Bazzana with three ground balls to 2nd; he's now 4-for-23. I'm not impressed. He puts the ball in play - I'll give him that.

What happened to Kwan and Jose over the winter? They're a shell of themselves. Kwan does a lot more damage pulling the ball than on those weak fly balls to left.

The Royals have won 10 of their last 13. I don't get why they're only 17-19. They look like a really good team to me.
