Late afternoon portion of the parlay doesn't start off too well. Shelby Miller with a stinker of a first inning (40 pitches) and the Mariners fall behind the Tigers 3-0. It's not only us.

Missed one hell of a game it seems

I'm about to give up on this season but remember I've been there last year too.

The next two series will be key and they've put themselves in a bad spot for them

The guys on the Locked on Guardians podcast said essentially the exact same thing last week as what Azcue just posted. Wondering if Azcue has some super Spidey sense allowing him to see into dugouts and clubhouses or whether he just forgot to quote his source (?)
 
The AL Champs had their best hurler on the mound in Wrigley, badly needing another win, and he shuts out the Cubs and Toronto carries a two-run lead into the bottom of the 9th. With one on and two outs and two strikes and the AL's best closer on the mound, Chicago gets a cheap Wrigley homer from their overpaid bum, Alex Bregman, and Toronto proceeds to lose in eleven, despite outhitting the Cubs all afternoon. The Jays go 1-19 with RISP on the day.

You see, it's not just us.

Cleveland might be in a bad spot, but its cold comfort for Chicago looking at the pitching match-ups in the upcoming series. Both of these teams are in trouble. It's looking more and more like no wild card team is coming out of the Central.

Root for the Red Sox to push the Chicago bullpen hard tonight.
