There's a thread for filling the SF position, but the team also needs more general spacing/shooting coming off the bench.

What are some realistic trade (or FA) targets?

Mentioned in various threads:

Bryn Forbes
Doug McDermott
Bogdan Bogdanovic
Gordon Hayward
Evan Fournier
Kelly Oubre
Luke Kennard (likely out of the team's price range?)
Josh Richardson
Alec Burks
Robert Covington
Duncan Robinson

To be honest, with the stronger exceptions like Kennard, I'm not sure if any of these guys would do any better than what we have in Love, Cedi, Wade, LeVert, and Stevens. They may come in, be hot, and then turn into Cedi. Bench shooters are inconsistent and streaky.

Bryn Forbes shot 41%+ in the past two seasons, but he is shooting a horrific 25% from 3 this season.

Duncan Robinson was putting up about 8+ three point attempts for the past two seasons at a minimum of 37%+, but he is shooting 31% now and is getting DNPs in playoff games.

Any of these (or others) in particular that stand out to anyone that would be instant improvements?

Corey Kispert

This one might be unlikely as he's been playing a lot lately and he's still on his rookie deal. I just think of him in the event the Wizards want to move Kuzma, Porzingis, or need a facilitator for another bigger trade and can snag a piece like we did with Allen.

It would take very little to get Bryn Forbes from the Timberwolves for the Cavs' bench right now imo.

Then when Rubio comes back, you have Rubio/LeVert/Love/Cedi/Stevens/Forbes. That's a nice bench.

Who does 6'2" Forbes play in front of? DG? Don? Rubio?

Already undersized Okoro has played 54% of his minutes at SF, and 3% of his minutes at PF so, again, who would 6'2" Brynn Forbes play ahead of?
Bryn Forbes is the power forward.

I assume he would eat into some of DG and Mitch's mins letting us rest them more down the stretch. This all assumes JBB realizes he can use more than 6 players in a game

So where does Ricky Rubio play?

The other guard mins? I'm assuming one of our part time 3s gets traded for forbes

PG (48min)-DG (23), Ricky (20), Don (5)
SG (48)-Don (25), DG (7), Caris (5), Cedi (5), Okoro (6)
SF (48)-Dean (15), Caris (15), Cedi (5), Okoro (13)
PF (48)-Evan (20), Dean (5), Love (10), Stevens (10), Cedi (3)
C (48)-JA (30), Evan (10), Love (5), RoLo/Diakite/Mobley (3)

With every player playing less than their average, and no one playing more than 30mpg...where, again, is 6'2" Forbes gonna play?
