Has anyone ever brought this up?

Of course it would not have as much traffic as Cavs Talk, but personally I would help spear-head discussion.

Arguments For----

They are 100% part of the Cavalier family, and should be treated as such.

They will be entering their 3rd season of existence, both 1st and 2nd seasons they entered the playoffs.

The Cavs routinely send down young players on assignment to get some real minutes of play instead of sitting on the bench, so you always do get to watch nba caliber players whether it's on the Charge or the opposing team.

While some players its obvious they are not going anywhere, others are young and who knows what might become of them with proper training.

Every game is shown on Youtube, which is an awesome advantage for people who are unable to watch the Cavs games for whatever reason, at least you can watch SOMETHING.

Anyway, just an idea.

I agree with this idea, when the season starts I feel like RCF could help draw more attention to the Charge and their following. As one who follows and covers the Charge, their game day experience is done very well down there and is first class. It is very easy to get caught up following and getting to know the players and team and the NBADL is very well organized "minor league system" I wouldnt mind contributing towards this also. I plan on to being able to write this fall for RCF when I cover the Charge.

I think it could work as a subforum to Cavs Talk.

It'd help me (and I'm sure others) learn about the guys that could one day be suiting up in the wine and gold. I like it.

We've got a really good relationship with the Charge guys. Had the coach on one of the podcasts and I talk with the PR director quite a bit. That being said its a section that I just don't think will be used all that often. Now if we see one of the rooks being sent down then things might change but when its the Kevin Jones' of the world it just doesn't pull people in.

Well the playoff series we lost last year, it was Lamb that destroyed us. For some reason OKC sent down two crazy assignments and our team just couldn't pull it off.

I watched Delonte play against us last year.

Michael Eric who was a resident big man is now playing for the 76ers summer league team.

An acquisition last year was Brady Morningstar who if you watch college was an heavy rotation player in Kansas.

I guess there's is more interesting stuff going on than what meets the eye. And I think it's backwards to act like the D-league doesn't exist. A lot of primetime players were plucked right from it (Jeremy Lin of course being the go-to example).

I guess if you don't go to many Charge games you wouldn't realize what's involved. During the season I'm constantly in the loop, checking to see any moves we've made, even watching away games on the laptop.

If you ask me the "Videos" section is stagnant and could be removed. In all honesty videos can just be posted in Cavs Talk, if it pertains the Cavaliers. The last video post is almost a month ago, and I never see more than 1 or 2 people (probably bots) browsing that section.

At least during the season there is constantly stuff going on with the charge, updates, advancements in the organization.

What about maybe a Canton Charge sticky thread in the Cavs Talk section?

That could work, it at least denotes their existence.

Definitely echo the sentiments of wanting a Charge section. I'm a courtside season ticket holder so I'm at every home game. Would be nice to chat about it. Also shout out to Clefan330, my dog!

Create a Canton Charge thread in the Cavs Talk section at the start of next season, and we'll figure out what to do from there depending on activity.
