AFC Divisional Playoffs - Beat the Chiefs

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
While Myles didnt really show in the stat category last week, from a physically in shape perspective it looked like his best game since he got COVID
Agreed. He was close to Ben 3-4 times but the ball came out. That being a 7 step drop, those are potentially strip sacks. Again, Mahomes is very mobile so just because he wins the battle, it doesn’t guarantee a sack but maybe the pressure forces some inaccuracies and maybe a pick or 2

Well, I’ve been waiting for the next guy to come in and state that the game is out of reach again. Can’t wait to see how it turns out again this time around.

I'm no grave dancer, I'll be rooting for the Browns whistle to whistle - not cheering for a hot take. I just wrote an article on why the Browns have a better chance defensively than most will admit, sheesh.

Keys, you're not even allowed to feel like the Browns won't be able to win this game. Now, if you could relax with your hard on for him, that would be great.

:chuckle:

The plurality of continuing to trash talk people being doom and gloom, a week after you literally did this exact same thing, is truly something.

A lesson for all of us in self awareness.

If the Browns can replicate those game plans they have an offense fully capable of winning the game.
Also, KC loves throwing the deep ball which means there will be more 7 step drops giving Garret and Clayborn chance to get to Mahomes.

I searched the internet for an update on Mitchell Schwartz. All I could find was a week-old update that he isn't expected to play in the post season at all.

So, sounds like Myles gets to line up against Mike Remmers.

He is an interesting right tackle in that he has played for seven teams in eight years, had some good moments, but is generally replaceable. He also had a back injury going into that bye week.

Sounds like Myles can really tee off on him.

It’s just incredible how many fans of a team actually don’t believe they’ll win week in and week out. Even after they just keep proving how special this team is.

Couldn’t be me.

Ward is back, coaches are back, my boner is back...We comin' for dat ass KC

Probably shouldn't say my boner is back and comin for dat ass in the same sentence....well unless you mean both meanings.

Hoping for that as well... admittedly I havent watched much of KC so not completely familiar with Mahomes mobility only his arm. I get concerned with mobile qbs because when myles gets upfield pressure we tend to lose contain so I'm hoping we get some middle push too

Mahomes has been hurried 63 times and hit 55 times, often after the throw, but only sacked 22 times.

Russell Wilson, for a comparison, was hurried 66 times and sacked 47 times.

So, Mahomes is doing Houdini shit in the pocket.

He's mobile. He'll maneuver in the pocket and deliver strikes down the field. He'll also scramble and pick up 10+ yards if it's there.

The most scary part of Mahomes to me is the fact that he can be pressured and throw the ball accurately 30+ yards down the field in the most unorthodox of ways. Usually QBs have to step up and throw with their hips, and generally have to have great or consistent form. Mahomes breaks all those barriers. The dude is terrifyingly good, and just when you get pressure and see him throw the ball from an awkward position and think the defense is gonna capitalize, the ball goes straight to the receiver's hands.

We need Myles to have one of his best games of the year for us to win this, I truly believe that.

The browns are absolutely and 100% underdogs (and huge underdogs) for a reason Triple, to pretend otherwise is just blind bias.

Yes, the realist in me in not going to pretend that KC's #1 passing offense isn't going to light up our questionable, at best, passing defense. Hell, Big Ben threw for 500+ on us (shut the hell up, prevent defense, I get it). Mahomes, Hill and Kelce isn't exactly comparable to old man Ben, JuJu the ballerina, and butterfingers Dionte. Getting Ward back helps some, but is he really going to be 100%? Also, the whole Andy Reid after a bye narrative - oh fuck me. We're 10pt dogs for a reason - Browns is the Browns.

I'm not saying it's impossible, but it's gonna take a A+ performance all around to win this. But I believe. We can do that. The Browns IS the Browns. One win and we get to play for the AFC Championship - the one to punch a ticket to the SUPER FUCKING BOWL.

Time to start queuing up the motivational movie script shit again.

LETS FUCKING GO.
