AFC Divisional Playoffs - Beat the Chiefs

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I dont know why, maybe its because we are playing with house money, but I think we are going to win. Then win the AFC title game in a shitty weather game. I dont feel good about the Super Bowl, but I dont fear anything right now.

Those offensive stats arent close or even the stats you would think. Thats without Jarvis' broken ribs, 5 or 6 games without Chubb, 3 bad weather games, an early season faux pas vs the Ravens, the WR-less game, etc, etc. Defensively thats without a lot of starters from our training camp expectation, multiple injuries & Covid.

I think we are better than our record & I think we are getting healthy at the right time. If these dont respect us; we will blow them up.

This offense is the best in the entire NFL in my opinion. I feel as if we can hang 40 on anybody and the reason is because we're so insanely balanced.

Of all the teams left in the playoffs, none can hammer the run the way we can, while also being able to sling it around when we need to do it.

It should be an easier matchup for our offense which is giving me hope. KC's defense is about as bad as ours - better against the pass but worse against the run but they're the worst defensive team in the league in the red zone. They've been trending down all season (last year they got better throughout the year).

I feel like our best chance is to try to limit their possessions by grinding out long drives on the ground like we've done all season. Keeping Mahomes off the field is our best defense.

I think this game is going to be close and I could see an opportunistic turnover being the difference maker.

Myles Garrett forced fumble calling it now

I wish I shared the confidence some of you are exuding :chuckle:

Definitely dig it though. It's all gravy from here.

The house money thing I think really helps. I think if the browns show up relaxed it will really help.

also healthy. Healthy is the most important part

Anyone look into the Chiefs/Raiders series from this season? Raiders went 1-1 and were close to sweeping the series.

The Raiders are wholly mediocre. Any insight into how they were able to compete so well with the champs?

Taking the opponent very lightly should not be mistaken for being a "good fan." This is the defending Super Bowl champion. The QB, #1WR, TE, and a DT all made All Pro in 2020.

I do think the Browns will cover a 10 point spread and have a shot at winning. Cleveland has become incredibly underrated nationally because of the Covid outbreak, which is now contained. Heck, I'm not confident any of these national pundits could name all the Browns starters from week one compared to last week without a deep dive.

LV did a good job of keeping positive or neutral game script. Tied 24-24 in their win at half, up 17-14 in their loss.

Converted 13/23 3rd downs in the two games (56%), +1 in TO margin, +4 in penalty margin (net of 52 yards).

KC ran 66 plays in the Raiders win, 73 in the loss. Browns probably want to see mid to low 60 snap count to have a chance.

In both games, the Raiders successfully kept the Chiefs within arms length.......never getting down 2 scores in the second half, keeping the game script positive, forcing KC to be a bit more aggressive coming from behind and then iced their game late with a timely defensive play.

So the recipe seems to be.....churn out 3rd downs, win the TO margin and execute with discipline. Don't even need obscene sack totals or TO diff, you just have to be efficient on offense and make just enough plays on D.
