Albert Pujols - 700 Home Runs

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
An epic milestone...For a stretch it sure looked like making it wasn't very likely...

Yet here he is, he did it and somehow with the team it all started with...

Congratulations Albert Pujols.

In case anyone is wondering, 700 homeruns is allot.

Dude served Pujols up batting practice there.

Greatest season ever for a 45 year old to cap off a HOF career. Even crazier? Best SLG and OPS in 10 years. Will go down, for me, as the biggest enigma of all time. Who is he really? How old is he really? One of the greatest EVER and he came out of absolutely nowhere. What is his real story, because dudes aren't married with 2 kids and a full beard when 17 and still in high school.

Seems likely he will be the last member of the 700 club at this point.

The fan went home with the ball and rightfully so. All special balls are marked by MLB already for authentication.

It could be the last 700 HR ball for a long, long time. It's already worth north of a million.

Like catching a winning lottery ticket.

If you dont give a rookie back his first homerun, you are asshole, that ball is only worth something to that rookie. Get your signed bat or ball by your favorite player and maybe some free tickets, or in my case, want to present the ball myself to the rookie.

But if you dont take a valuable ball home with you, you are a chump. I respect the ehll out of Pujols for what he has done, but he has made 350 million in earnings in his career, if he wants the ball, he can buy it just like anyone else. That 500k to a million or so the ball is worth can set you and your kids up for life.

I’m glad he’s getting to finish on such a high note. He had some rough years after leaving St. Louis.

Wonder if there’s a world he decides not to retire.

He’s been steadfast in following through with retirement but you gotta wonder if he reconsiders.

He also seems like the type of guy who wants to go out doing well and his comeback year has been one of baseballs best stories.

This is the key part..

One of the greatest baseball players in our lifetime, is mega rich and I am sure has a mountain of memorabilia any fan would be blown away by. He or anyone with the means can make the owner an offer.

Agreed, personal achievements like 1st hits/homeruns are totally different.

Wonder what I'd do if caught someone's 4th or dare I say 5th homer in a game...

Monumental items of baseball history are like winning lottery tickets and as a fan you have every right to ownership of said items if you are the lucky one. Catching homers is one of the perks of sitting in the outfield seats... Do with it/them as you wish.
