All-Time Ind- Guardians RCF Fantasy Draft, Pt. II

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I’m not trying to kick anybody out or replace them if I don’t have to. This was always going to be a slow burn, but we can’t keep going a week between picks. Half of us will be dead before we’re done.
Make a poll - put 5-10 guys on it. Lets us vote? closes at midnight, next time around give the board/Lord Mar 24-48 hrs to select, honor system existing drafters don't vote.

Simple solution.
When a person is up, they get 48 hrs. If they don't make a pick, next guy up.
The skipped person can return and make their pick at any time.

But here's another question. Can we make trades?

I’m at work and I’ll look into everything when I get home and have a computer.

@Lord Mar is skipped. He can make his pick whenever he is online next. @BimboColesHair is up. Draft board is updated.

I'm not going to instill a strict time limit, but I'm going to start skipping people after 48-72 hours or so, especially if I see you've been online.

I'm not sure how trading would work, but if you draft somebody and want to try to flip him for another drafted player, I guess you can try to do so.

With my 5th pick I will take:

Early Wynn, SP, 1956 version

The Hall of Famer had arguably his best season of his career in 1956 while a member of the Indians. 20-9 with a 2.72 ERA over 277 IP, a 154 ERA+, and a season worth 7.8 bWAR.

Round 1: Nap Lajoie, 2B - 1910 version (.383/.444/.514 slash, 9.8 bWAR, 51 2B, 26 SB, 227 H)
Round 2: Shoeless Joe Jackson, RF - 1911 version (.408/.468/.590 slash, 9.2 bWAR, 45 2B, 41 SB, 233 H)
Round 3: Gaylord Perry, SP - 1972 version (342 IP, 24 W, 1.92 ERA, 10.8 bWAR, 7 CGSO, 0.978 WHIP)
Round 4: Grady Sizemore, CF - 2006 version (.290/.375/.533 slash, 6.7 bWAR, 53 2B, 11 3B, 28 HR, 22 SB, 134 R)
Round 5: Early Wynn, SP - 1956 version (277 IP, 20 W, 2.72 ERA, 7.8 bWAR, 18 CG, 154 ERA+)

@CBBI is up

Based on the draft board @Stark should be up next.

Didn't get a chance to do a write-up for my fourth round pick: Francisco Lindor, shortstop.

Lindor was at his best for Cleveland in 2018 in my opinion. That year, Lindor hit .277/.352/.519/.871 with 38 HR, 42 2B, 95 RBI, 129 R, 183 H, 25 SB, 132 OPS+, 7.2 bWAR, and a Silver Slugger. He wasn't at the absolute height of his defensive prowess this season compared to some other seasons in Cleveland, but he definitely was still nothing to sneeze at.

WITH MY 5TH ROUND PICK, THE WAILING WAHOOS SELECT: CLIFF LEE, STARTING PITCHER

Obviously going to use Lee's stellar Cy Young campaign from 2008.

In 2008, Lee went 22-3 with an AL Leading 2.54 ERA, 2.83 FIP, 0.5 HR/9, and 1.4 BB/9. Lee pitched 223.1 innings and struck out 170 en route to his first and only Cy Young Award, beating out the likes of Roy Halladay and Francisco Rodriguez in his 62 save season.

First five picks: Manny Ramirez, Al Rosen, Luis Tiant, Francisco Lindor, Cliff Lee

2nd Baseman Carlos Baerga.

On the road. Sorry

With the last pick in the 5th round I pick a position that I think has been pretty thin in this organization:
Catcher Sandy Alomar, Jr.
  • 6X All Star
  • Gold Glove winner
  • 1990 AL Rookie of the Year
  • 49 Post season games
  • 13.3 WAR with Cleveland
  • Franchise leader in HR's by a catcher
