Addie Joss was a command pitcher with a funky delivery, with a mix of Kevin Brown and a side arm style. Sadly his life was cut short at the age of 31 because of a bacterial infection. Now he was an early baseball pitcher so who knows how he would have done in today's era, but his numbers don't lie.
Career numbers, 160 wins to 97 losses. A career ERA of 1.89, FIP of 2.25 and WHIP of 0.968 in 2327 innings.
In 1908 Joss had an ERA of 1.16, FIP of 1.68, WHIP of 0.806 and an ERA+ of 204 in 325 innings with 130 SOs to 30 BBs.
@daddywags is now on the clock!
