I’m so done with the 365/24 bitching about the QB Room.

Fuck That!!

AB completely rebuilt the O Line and has a bunch of 22 year olds in skill positions. We’ve scored at least 20 points three weeks running. There was no way in hell I thought we could do that.

We’ve got a ton of young DAWGS on this team and they are fired up, confident and hungry.

Jerry Jeudy had a shit attitude under the previous coaching staff. He’s demoted to rotation and what does he do? Comes up BIG in the biggest drive in the biggest game of the season so far.

The new coaching staff has lit a fire under everybody’s ass.

The defense has made big plays and stopped Mayfield. We’re getting sacks without Myles. Graham has been a beast.

And how about special teams? We’ve got a punter who pins team back when we hit fourth down and are deep in our own territory. Our PK hasn’t missed since his first game and he made a super clutch 56 yarder to send the Steelers back home bitching at each other.

I know we have to solve the QB room. I know we’re not a finished product. But the talent we’ve acquired is excellent, the team is starting to come together, the fanbase that attends the games is fired up and we’ve got two first round picks and a very low cost roster for the future leaving us room to add more talent.

It may be premature, it may be wrong, it may not pan out.

imho ANDREW BERRY NAILED THE REBUILD.

discuss.

I guess for me I’d say he’s naiLING the rebuild. I’m happy we’re 3-1 but there’s lots more games to be played, and the QB position will need to be addressed.

If this thread goes as hard over the years as the Koby Altman Nailed the Rebuild thread, we are in for a treat!

I can't believe I'm asking this but if this start is not a mirage, what move(s) could AB potentially make near the trade deadline? I get the NFL trade deadline is not nearly as active or exciting as the MLB and NFL but what could AB do to bolster the roster to aid them to compete for a playoff berth?

Nothing. Would be completely ill advised to move our draft capital.

Top120 picks? Sure, 100%, do not move them.

But if you're moving a 5th or 6th for someone 26 and under who can legitinmately add to what we do for multiple years, there is no reason to not do it

Where on earth are you finding that?

I was thinking Tyson Campbell but not sure how to value in Greg Newsome who was in the deal

But Wyatt Teller (+ an incoming 7th) was traded for a 5th and 6th back in 2019

Just saying, regardless of how likely, picks 150 and later should not be off the table in a trade for a player already experienced in the league that you believe can help you

I probably would t be interested in trading any picks unless it’s a player that is going to help for multiple seasons and I don’t think those deals are ever out there in the NFL for picks above 150.

We just aren’t even close to our window which is going to be opening because of who we add to this young nucleus in the coming seasons.

I wouldnt mind trading Jerry Jeudy at the deadline...

Sometimes you can pick up a good veteran for something like a 5th rounder.

I'm thrilled with the 3-1 start but there's a long way to go before we're confident of playoff contention.

Much also depends on health.

Another question: how is Monken getting the most out of the QB while Stefanski floundered at that for the past several years?

Brissett and Flacco would disagree with floundering. Healthy Baker might as well. Watson was definitely not a fit for Stefanski. Then again, Watson was awful and injured on Sefanskis watch.

Stefanski had more issues than just QB. Glad we moved on and got some different concepts to go along with the young guys. Don't like the fact that the penalties continue under Monken. I'm hopeful it's just due to inexperience vs inability.

Honestly awful fit. Stefanski’s offenses routinely didn’t provide the answers to the test pre snap like Monken’s do. I honestly believe Deshaun is much more a pre snap processor than post snap.
