Any poker players around?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Should we have an RCF poker tournament? I think that would be a lot of fun! We all put in 20 bucks into the pot, get the same amount of chips and split the pot between the top 3/4 players (aka 10-6-3-1/10-7-3) type of numbers. Talk shit all day about sports and each other for the fun of competition!

Anyone in the Raleigh Durham area that plays poker? I host games every couple of months.

A friend's friend stared a home game poker league on Pokerstars. We played 3 tournaments tonight. We just did paypal for all of the entries ahead of time and he paid everyone out. It was fun. We did a zoom session where a lot of us hung out and heckled different tables. I think it's going to be a weekly thing.

I also did a euchre tournament last weekend and am doing another one (just for fun) this weekend. It's a little bit of a hassle getting everything set up, but it's fun. We played for 5 hours last weekend and got drunk as fuck while doing it. If anyone wants to play in the free euchre tournament Saturday night, let me know, and I'll invite you.

Im convinced that an above average 2/5 player today would crush even high stakes players of 10-15 years ago. This game has changed so much over the last few years. There is so much more info out there these days.

Got back to playing. Won a tourney just now. The issue is that at the final table a guy from Thailand for some reason thought that we were friends and we shouldn't take each other's chips. He talked on the chat about it and what happened is that we avoided each other. Now, he talked about consistently taking out players. We both were the chip leaders. I'm really scared that this is a collusion.

It was PLO, and when we were 3 we ganged up on a poor guy. I did not want to do that cause I had an edge, but it just happened.

I've been doing the play money tournaments on PokerStars because with the legal issues, it's tough for me to trust any place where I'll have to deposit money (living in Ohio) but it's also incredibly frustrating to triple the BB preflop with A-K suited, have a K-8-2 flop and lose to 8-2 offsuit that called my preflop raise for some unknown reason.

Globalpoker is legal in 49 states, in case you wanted to play for money.

I get it, but 3 handed it's tough to not target a short stack.

It's less about wanting to actually gamble, and more about wanting to deal with less rubbish and I'm not sure the level of money I'm willing to play for would filter out much at all :chuckle:

Lmao, I won another tourney. Those low stakes buy-in MTTs are extremely easy. I'm 70% in the money.
I took a deal HU when I was the chip leader because I felt bored. I had every edge on the player..but I did him a favor. Maybe it was a mistake.
Comeback with 2bb left and 20 players to go.
