Anyone getting the Switch?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
From Pax East: 8 out of ten devs we talked to are including the switch.. also I think it's significant the Joycons are Bluetooth.. meaning they could be connected to a phone.. Nintendo has screwed up before, but I think they hit the ball here..

Eh their graphics and online features are still crap. I don't really trust them when it comes to hardware stuff and cooperating with 3rd parties. We'll see..

Lol sorry, played it on virtual console after I played the Mario Galaxy games and it was just boring. Zelda OoT held up pretty well though.

You guys should visit a gaming forum, where there's endless amounts of people who hate all your favorite games. Your heads would probably implode. :chuckle:

All of them, with several exceptions. Mario 64 being one of them.

I remember getting an N64 and Mario 64 for Christmas when it came out when I was a kid. At the time, I thought it was the best thing ever. I went back and played it with my little brother a few years ago and the camera pissed me off so bad I could only play for like 20 minutes. I can see both sides of the argument :p

The camera isn't great in retrospect but the gameplay itself holds up really well. It's not on Ocarina of Time's level, but it's close. I'd say easily a top 10-20 game all-time. Definitely top twenty, maybe top ten.

When ranking games all time I judge them on how they were at the time I played them, anyways. Otherwise, some of the best games ever can't really be put at the top of the list because they've aged poorly and docking a game for that is unfair, IMO. Deus Ex is still in my top 5 of all time, yet if I went back to play it I bet it'd be unplayable.

True. Deus Ex is not a game that holds up at all.

For me, the test of time is a big factor, though. It's why Mario 3 is always in my top five. I can sit down and play that game today and it's still fucking amazing.

You guys think this system is worth it? I have both XB1 and PS4 and am thinking about selling the PS4 to pick up one of these purely for the variety I'll be able to get out of it compared to the other. I can play most games that I want to on PS4 on my Xbox.

Don't really want to miss out on The Last of Us 2 though...

Probably not, but dat Breath of the Wild tho.

Anyone know how to actually buy one of these damn things?

Nintendo, please take my money. I want to give it to you... :(

I would dump the xbox over the PS4 because sony's exclusives are way more appealing, but that's just me.

Switch is great if you want something different. Zelda is the main attraction right now, but there are lots of great little indies too. Mario Kart 8 is a couple weeks away also. Basically if you want a machine that can give you some cool, fun experiences that's also a handheld then you'll be pretty happy with your purchase.
