Games fun but too fucking hard. My fault for sucking of course but I never have had trouble being competitive in PC FPS in the past. Causing me to lose interest. Oh well.

I just think it's boring to be honest. I'm way better at this game than I am at Fortnite, and probably equally as good as I am at Blackout, but I'd rather play either over this.

Not sure why to be honest. It's pretty polished and well made, just not my cup of tea. It's initial rush of popularity is already starting to dwindle back too. Fortnite is still the reigning king of Battle Royale for now it seems.

If you like playing solo obviously this game isn't an option. I do like that it offers something a bit different than the rest of the battle royal scene.

Fortnite has the largest skill cap of any of these games. I just don't like the farming aspect, prefer to be in first person, and really don't want to spend a lot of time getting good at building.

The time to kill is longer than any fps I can think of. You are also a bit dependent on your teammates holding their weight. If you have weak teammates and come across a squad with purple armor and a lot of shield generators, good luck.

This is my feeling toward Fortnite to a freaking tee.

Game is smooth, guns play fine, it's a BR so I'm down to like it.

Apex is first person (CHECK), and doesn't involve the building shit that I never enjoyed in Fornite. I took about a week to really learn the game, and became a decent Fortnite player, but it's just not fun to have building competitions in a game that's about shooting people.

Apex is very high skill-cap, so I get to constantly look to improve both micro and macro skills. I enjoy collaborative gaming, but I realize that's usually an unpopular opinion. The different legends also offer enough variety for me to really enjoy. Learning how to synchronize my Q and ult with my teammates' abilities is really enjoyable.

Can't wait to dip into Battle Pass after work. Has anyone messed with Octane yet? His kit seems very strong. I'm very curious as to how big his hitbox is. I think he'll be a meta legend.

Playing right now if anyone wants to play. TH3V1CT4HH on PC

i hated fortnite because of the building, so this is something that interests me more

but damn this game seems tough at first...took me like 7 matches before i finally got my first kill

The pace of the game is hard to get used to due to how spread out the teams get. Sometimes it takes 5-10 mins before you see a team. I get caught off guard all the time because its so easy to get used to looking down for loot that you forget to look up for enemies.

Game is also extremely dead compared to where it was a couple months ago. Lack of meaningful content updates, combined with a very unfair economy system, have driven a lot of the casual player base away.

So you're going to be dealing with people who are good at the game. The bad, easy to kill peeps just aren't around as much as they were before.
