April Update (Billboard & Raffle)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
You know Austin is going to mention the billboard because it's a great catch phrase and it rhymes at the end. I can hear just how he would say it, actually, then laughing his laugh.

I doubt they'll credit cavfanatic (it would just mean having to issue a retraction later) but it's just as unlikely they'll mention RCF. In the end, it won't matter much. Cavs fans at the game, around the city, and watching games around the world are going to see that billboard. And word will get out.

It also seems like the perfect image to be featured on the front page of espn.com when they do the next of their neverending pieces about LeBron 2010. Much better than the fake pic of LeBron in a Knicks uniform...

so does that mean AC would call Glen "the graphic designer" a la Jamison being "the jump shooter"?

So, it looks like I may be able to make this launch party after all. But since I'll have to drive back, I can't drink more than a beer or two, which is rather disappointing, as I wholeheartedly intended to get as belligerent as possible so I could be more in character.

If I am going, no one is to be wearing an AC Drinking Game shirt so I don't have to worry about putting on a nametag.

Glen "The Graphic Designah" Infante for the win.

This is incredible and I can't believe I haven't been following this any closer. I'm praying this gets a mention on national TV, it would be very good for the site and for getting the message across.

Because, as the Joker would inform Knicks fans: It's not about the money, it's about sending a message.

I really want someone to mention it in an interview so we don't have to wait for LeBron's self-recognition, which unfortunately might not come. I'm sure he'll know about it, but he doesn't bring many topics up without the media asking about it.

Fred: Now, LeBron. Have you seen the billboard by the fans of Cleveland convincing you to remain in Cleveland? And if so, did you like it? And if so, does it help convince you from otherwise leaving unless you wanted to stay all along? And if so, does it motivate you more in practice while you're getting guys healthy and trying to get things on track for a title run?

LeBron: Uhhhhh... Absolutely.

Ya know, f*ck cavfanatic.

If they can't understand that this isn't about RCF as much as its about the Cavalier fans as a whole, then they can stay on the outside looking in.

This truly is a great day in Cavalier history.

For all of the media speculation about LeBron leaving for city x or city y, we finally have a chance to show our support & kick back at the media a bit, without having to try to buy tickets to sold out games.

And the best part about it, is that the fans didn't need any help to accomplish this. We accomplished this as a group, on our own.

I'm also a Tribe & Browns fan, and for years, we've heard that Browns fans were the best in the NFL. Tribe fans were considered fair weather when things started going south. Now, the Cavalier fans, as if there were any doubt over the past few years, can really be considered the best fans in the NBA.

I, for one, am extremely proud to be a part of it.

P.S: Wouldn't it be great if this is what puts LeBron over the top to re-sign

From Cavfanatic mod Susie lol

we don't promote anything relating to that site since they love to bash us there, case closed.

What if someone was?

Ill release a digital version after the banner is actually up. I don't want it everywhere right now.

For obvious reasons, I find it ironic that the billboard is slated to be hung on the side of the bar 'Nicks'

Speaking about Nick's, I've got a few questions about the place as I have never been there before.

I want to come down to 'witness' the banner up close and personal, and I want to come down to hang out with RCF members that will be in attendance, but I also want to enjoy the game and be able to view it comfortably. I'm pretty picky when it comes to watching Cavs games, especially a playoff game because I don't want to miss a second of the action.

So can someone tell me about this bar? Do they have large LCD TVs where I could potentially see the game no matter where I sit?

Is it one of those bars where the patrons primarily stand around and socialize meaning I have to look over people's heads, or bob and weave if I want to catch the game?

Is it a noisy bar that might make the game difficult to hear?

Are there a lot of tables there to accomodate a large crowd?

Again, sorry for sounding picky, but I take my Cavaliers games seriously as probably many of us do. If I have to get down there early to make sure that I'll get a good table that is close to a TV, then that's what I'd want to do.

A little picky? :chuckles::chuckles::chuckles:

They have around 7-9 total TV's in the Bar. That all sit above the bar in a line. The TV's are not LCD unfortunately. Anywhere you are in the bar you are able to be in full view of a TV for the game. During the game volume will be turned up and no music playing so you can hear the announcers. The only place you would not be able to see the game is if you were in/near the restroom. There is plenty of seating along the bar and they have around 5-6 tables. It is an oldschool sports bar. Nothing Glamorous. Hope that gives you an idea.
