Around the NFL 2012-2013

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Tebow released by Patriots

Vince Young released by Packers

Clausen released by Panthers

Man talk about disasters at QB, tebow and clausen were pretty much guaranteed to bust and pretty much every regular Joe fan I know called it. How they got drafted so high is baffling to me.

At least tebow has a future as a TE if he's willing to give it a try.

Let the Weeden for Freeman talk commence :chuckles:

many Jacksonville Jaguars fans told us this week how great their support is. But, their team is something south of terrible. And apparently not everyone in Orlando is thrilled that they have to watch the Jaguars on television.

The most appealing game of the Week 2 afternoon slate is obviously Broncos-Giants, the Manning Bowl. The Raiders vs. the Jaguars has almost no appeal, unless you're in Jacksonville quarterback Chad Henne's immediate family.

The NFL has rules about regional coverage, and Orlando is getting the Jaguars game. Whether they like it or not. And based on this scroll during the Dolphins-Colts game (as pointed out on Deadspin), it appears many people are telling the CBS affiliate there they don't like it. This image at the top of this post comes from ryan_tolley on Instagram.

We're not sure, but that might be the first time a television station has apologized for having to show the local team. That should boost the ratings.

So here is an article from deadspin a couple of weeks ago that I missed. Drew Magary blasting teams for not signing Kerry Rhodes because of rumors that he's gay.

http://deadspin.com/is-the-nfl-blacklisting-kerry-rhodes-1300128496

Does he have evidence of that? No. I mean zero. The mere fact that Rhodes is unsigned is ALL HE HAS. There are about 300 reasons Rhodes might not be playing right now. Maybe he's a locker-room cancer. Maybe he wants to much money. Maybe he's too old (wrong side of 30). Maybe he doesn't want to play in certain places. Maybe, despite what pro football focus says, he's not all that good. Does Magary give any of these reasons much of a thought? Nah. Let's just write an article calling everyone in the NFL bigots because, hey, deadspin needs internet traffic.

I'm so done with Deadspin and their bullshit. They want to pretend they are above it all. That they don't take sports to seriously. They they, unlike ESPN (in their minds), don't play favorites. Blah blah blah. This is the common thing for them now. Just right fairly damming things about a whole host of people with almost nothing to back it up with, because it might be funny and because shut up!!

lol, pick him up!!!!

Willis McHillis Bitch!!!

Sorry fellas, apparently Aaron Rodgers isn't gay:

Aaron Rodgers is one of the most elite quarterbacks in the NFL. With that success comes plenty of scrutiny, and the scrutiny around him this week has not focused on his public play but rather is private life.

A little-known website published a story speculating the Packers quarterback was gay after a falling out with his live-in, male assistant and some odd tweets from that assistant. But on Tuesday, Rodgers put any speculation to rest.

“I’m just going to say I’m not gay,” Rodgers told ESPN Wisconsin’s Jason Wilde during Rodgers’ weekly radio interview. “I really, really like women. That’s all I can really say about that.”

Still the best Packer around though...

But it is relevant to the 2012-2013 NFL season?
