If/when I do open this back up, I am laying some ground rules that I should have set up before agreeing to do this.
1. Respect my time. Understand that, for the most part, I am answering these questions late at night after a long workday, on my only day off during the week (Monday), or during the free time I have before my workday begins.
2. Do not share what I put in here on Twitter or Facebook or some other forum. It has happened a few times. Same rules that apply to S34 (for those who are members), do not go broadcasting this on social media and bring attention to where it shouldn't be. I do this for this forum, not for anyone else.
3. If you use what I am asked and answer in here as a way to get off and make jokes at my expense, I will never answer a question in here again or provide any useful information to this board ever again. Back to point 1, respect my time. Why would I waste my time if the response by some is to make fun of the answer and, in turn, the time spent. I am not doing this for your entertainment. Don't be a dick and ruin it for everyone else. Yes, I will be wrong about things. It's the way this works. I will admit when I am, as I did with Oscar Gonzalez as recently as a week ago.
4. The player eval process is littered with negatives. If you would like my negative views on things, of which there are many, ask me specifically for them. I do not have time to give a rundown of positives and negatives about each individual prospect, player, coach, GM, owner who is the subject of a question at the depth I like to post. It is much easier, time friendly, and I am sure fulfilling to the board as a whole to type quick positives about certain subjects. If you don't like the positives, too bad. Ask for a negative. Again, #1, respect the time I take to try and answer everyone's questions and why I may do it a certain way that curtails the time spent answering.
Enjoy the game as a whole, hopefully we see some good baseball moving forward. Something we all want or are working towards.
