Ask Bimbo

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Is it as simple as confidence and comfort?

That plus I think the comfort and competitiveness with Gimenez and wanting to lead by example. I feel like he is pushing himself harder in the field to be way better than he was. There is no stop in his hustle period. He wants to get to every ball and throw out every runner.

This is just a hunch though, but he has matured mentally (plus physically) and because of it, is grasping how to be a better ball player in every aspect of the game. His range is better, his throws are crisper/more accurate. His O-Contact is way up, his velo off the bat is up as well, which is weird, because normally O-Contact going up means less velo off the bat, not more. His SO rate is down a good 5%.

I know this is Bimbo's page ans whatnot, but Rosario is making it very hard to trade him from a personal/chemistry perspective...

Maybe it has something to do with steady playing time at 1 position? As far as his hitting, he's doing pretty much the same thing he did last season. One thing there is no disputing and that's Amed's hustle. In the field or on the bases he'll never be one that Tito has to talk to about the lack of hustle and you have to respect the way he plays.

Is Rosario making it very hard to trade him or very easy? Guess we'll find out after the WS.

He feels different, personality wise... like he went from being a background person into one who leads from in front... I think staying in one position probably helps, but his demeanor is different. He is getting to balls he didn't even touch last season even playing everyday. His throws are way more accurate as well. It's like he is playing on the attitude of, I know I belong here and everyone else follow my lead! Like their is no doubt in his mind, he can field every grounder and make every single throw, hit the ball with every swing, etc. He has the confidence he can do everything he sets his mind to, but doesn't get overconfident either. Hard to explain, but really he has come into his own and is done sticking up the middle finger to the haters and just proving them wrong with his actions...

That's your opinion and I respect it, but I don't get that vibe at all. I think what we're seeing with Amed defensively is consistent playing time at his best position. I see no difference in his throws as he's always had a strong arm. Where he's struggled is transferring the ball smoothly and that is repetition and development. He's never struggled to "field the ball". Positioning wasn't always his strong suit and again, experience and development with consistent playing time at a single position can make a huge difference. Just my $.02.

I may not be explaining it well either, but Rosario has matured as a person and a player, that I have no doubt and it's showing...

He's approaching his prime so I have no doubt what you're saying is true.

How many more times are we going to see Benson and Jones on the bench against righties while Miller plays 1B?

What happens with Franmil Reyes bobblehead night on 9/3?
Becomes a highly collectible rarity, front office pieces them out on eBay at $44 average.

My buddy and I decided, that they should put them all into the clearance section in the team shop and replace the day with a Gimenez jersey that says All-Star on the right sleeve and have sugardale or whoever was the Reyes sponsor, become the sponsor for the Jersey... Maybe you could do the All-Star color?

Miller has benefited a lot from the fall of Franmil. He's basically been granted an unlimited suckage season at the plate because of the lack of 1B options up until recently.

Do they spend the found money in the offseason or pocket the bobble head money for themselves?
