Avengers: Infinity War spoiler thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I guess it was just me, but I thought the people that became dust were going to be transported somewhere and those left behind would die. Just seemed like everyone we know will survive (Spiderman, Black Panther, etc) dusted out, but Ironman, Cap, and others we figured might die were actually left behind.

What’s even the point of bringing him in then if he won’t be helping run shit?

I think Dr. Strange takes the part of Warlock. The way he handed over the Time Stone.

-He already has shown he has come control over it.
-They talked about the bit where those who have touched the Stones have a relationship with them.
-Of all the possessors of the Stones, Strange was the most intimate and knowledgeable about his Stone.
-I wonder if he left something of himself in the Stone to warn people in the past like Warlock did in the Soul Stone in Infinity Gauntlet.

The movie was ruined for me because of all the kids. there were 4 title kids that couldn't keep their mouth shut despite having an adult with them that continually told them to shut the hell up.

He’s being created by the Sovereign to destroy the Guardians of the Galaxy.

If they were going to introduce him for Infinity War/Gauntlet, they would have just stuck with the cocoon Easter Egg as his origin.

Solid movie. I was hoping Marvel would go dark like "Empire Strikes Back", and they did just that.

As a comic fan growing up and reading that first "Infinity Gauntlet" series back in the day (which I purchased on comixology in time for the movie), I am amazed that I'm watching these things play on the big screen. And the movies are quality too! Remember when a comic movie was cheesy, embarrassing and had bat-nipples?

This movie did a lot right and despite the long run time I was enthralled from start to finish. A few crying kids in our theater, but I was willing to get over that because the audience hooting when Thor returned or the audible gasps make up for the experience.

I know the movies are their own thing, but I was waiting for this ultimate fan service:

Maybe next year?

Just saw it. Better than the spoilers led me to believe.

The ending is seriously dark.

I think Dr. Strange is my favorite Marvel hero now. Dude was going toe-to-toe with Thanos with four stones and holding his own.

They're going to need someone like Dr. Doom to challenge him in the next phase because he has become so powerful.

Saw it again. Love the darkness and no bs story. I heard some one day they didn't like it because it was too dark. The story had been building for 10 years and we all saw how powerful each stone was by itself... what does one expect when they are together?

I can't get over Thanos. The character, the voice, storylines, and the cgi facial expressions..... best villain in a long time.

As for IW2, I can't help but feel that Captain Marvel will start the Avengers soon and create an alternate timeline. I would almost rather have that than people going into the past. You somehow have to lure Thanos out with a stone before he starts going after them. Based on some of the stuff out there, it has to be it. I forget the exact quote but I feel like it has also been hinted at by the Russos. I just hope we see vengeful, drunk, lost it all Tony at some point.

I also think Thanos is dead. He saw Gamora as Thor hit him with Stormbreaker, and just looked weak as he went to his porch to watch the sunset. I can't see value in him being alive with the Stones.

Maybe that would explain the Spiderman timeline inconsistency as well and it has been in front of us for years.

So many thoughts can't wait until captain marvel.

There was a big Easter Egg if anyone read the credits.

Such a blow hard!

Also, the Asgardians had a pretty bad week. People getting slaughtered and then their home is destroyed. Then Thanos shows up to kill (all of them). Yikes

Awesome. Saw it after a big pasta dinner and didn't even yawn once. Josh Brolin perfect as Thanos.

Amazing

My first reaction is how different this was than the 1st Avengers. That was my first MCU movie, and I had no trouble following the story and characters.

Even for Age of Ultron, you could probably follow along pretty well if you only saw the 1st Avengers. Winter Soldier would've helped, but not necessary.

This movie just assumed you were an MCU regular. Can't imagine how people who had only seen a handful of MCU movies before this reacted to this movie.
