Baker Mayfield: Fire The Cannons

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Van Pelt’s comments are interesting… could mean a couple of things:

- They’re begging the Ravens to at least consider the passing game which hopefully gives our running game a tiny bit of breathing room to set the tone for the game on the road.
- They’re trying to take noise out of the public evaluation of Baker (to protect the team in future negotiations)
- He’s towing the consistent team mantra of ‘no excuses’ that they’ve maintained regarding Baker’s injury. This could be to protect Baker from opposing defenses from targeting his injuries, but I doubt this
- He’s just being a straight shooter and answering a question that was asked to him, and Baker indeed looked sharp in practice.

I only point out all of the above speculation because I think the team response to Baker’s injuries have done Baker no favors up to this point in the court of public opinion. It’s fascinated me to see how they’ve handled it.

Baker Mayfield is now 2-8 with the ball in his hands and needing a TD to win/tie.

Are we ready to say he ain't Neo, yet?

I need the film breakdown podcast ASAP.

Baker should sit alone in a room and just get screamed at every single double clutch.

Can't wait for his.... I need to do better... It falls on me.... I care about those guys and I let them down today.... bullshit

Followed up by him not actually getting any better.

I'm confused I thought we were at the point in the cycle where Baker plays with the underdog mentality?

The cycle is broken. For the worse.

Throwing a 6 yard pass on 4th and 10 or go home just put me over the edge. I would have rather just tried a hail mary 40 yard pass than that weak wristed bullshit.

No, no.

When Emily gets mouthy on social media, we go to the kicked dog phase.

See 2019 when people called him fat.

Can someone set up a poll for next Browns QB and how we get them:

1. Mega trade for Watson or Russ
2. Sign a league average guy short term for 15-20M/per year
3. Spend our 1st on a QB
4. Get QB in 2nd, pray he's like Russ, and spend all the saved money elsewhere

Because we sure as hell better not be extending Baker and I don't even want 18.5M of cap space(his current 2022 number) taken up by him at this point.

Safe to say he isn’t getting extended at this point.

3-4 please.

Reset the clock with a team friendly QB contract.

I wanna believe a healthy Mayfield would be better than this, but time and time again it's his eyes letting him down, not his health.
