I love cryptozoology.

My latest obsession are the Rock Apes of Vietnam.

For a time I thought it nonsense, but there are so many stories from vets, local people, the NVA, -and the stories go all the way back to before the French, that there must be something to it. The North Vietnamese even sent an expedition, and returned with evidence of the existence of a large, unidentified ape. I think it is simply an unidentified sub-species of orangutan in that area of Vietnam. Those areas are remote and new species do get found there every few years.

Mark Felton is a renowned and legitimate historian and this is about the best video on the issue I have ever come across. He also did a great video on tiger attacks during Vietnam when there weren't supposed to be any there... @The Human Q-Tip @Jordan

It’s wild to think that when we were kids (assuming a lot of guys are in their 30s) the idea of cryptids/UFOs and other “conspiracy theories” made people seem like total nutjobs when in reality their existence was simply a matter of word manipulation or the information was being hidden.

One of the BENEFITS of the internet is access to being able to benefit from the knowledge and experience from really great people like Forrest. I really appreciate that the dude does what he does, enjoys it so much and is also very modest.

If you get someone like him in your youtube algorithm life gets interesting.

The issue with UFO type people is when the govt starts disclosing and recognizing UFOs (UAP) they're like what are they hiding? Why are they telling us stuff?

I think at least 99% of the actual UFOs seen in the US, as in actual unidentified craft, are US Government.

There were many UFO sightings in the late 70s and early 80s involving triangular craft.

And then in the early 80s the Air Force unveils the F-117 Stealth Fighter. And then the B-2 in the late 80s.

Things are always in the pipeline. F-22 came out in 2005. F-35 has been in squadron service for years.

The Russians have a functioning, though not reliable, hypersonic cruise missile. And a (bad) stealth fighter. Same with China.

We must have some gnarly experimental craft in the works if those chuckleheads, who are decades behind, have progressed this far.

Skunkworks was rumored to be working on antigravity back in the late 90s.

A breakthrough like that would fundamentally change the laws of aerodynamics.
