Baker Mayfield: Fire The Cannons

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Needs to learn when to slide than running sideways to go out of bounds. Other than that, he has been really good.

Doubt it. He finished the game after that play and he’ll have a week to recover. Sure it will be sore the next few days, but I’m also sure he’ll get treatment and be good to go by Sunday.
Dont get me wrong they will literally have to physically restrain him from trying to play. However a couple of hits to an already beat up shoulder could do some real damage and you know the bears will target it.

This is the benefit of carrying a second left shoulder around with you throughout the game.

I think Baker was caught on camera at least once during Sunday's festivities.

I do not recall him carrying a second left shoulder. I feel like that would've stood out. I know there was something large underneath his pants, between his legs, but that did not look like a shoulder to me.

I'm calling bullshit on this one. He has the spare stored away somewhere. For freshness, it's likely in cryo-storage.

Do we know if there are any 3rd shoulder quarterbacks that could be available in the 22 draft? Obviously the league will be moving on from 2nd left shoulder quarterbacks but we can’t be behind the 8-ball here

If you pause it at 18 seconds, you can see that during the process of faking the handoff and hiding the football, Baker is scoping out the defense before turning and delivering the pass to Hooper. He's not simply faking a handoff, but he's using that moment to get a read on the defense.

Simply beautiful.

He has one of the best fakes in the game - he had three defenders going after Chubb.

#1 Lonnie Johnson Jr actually has a decent reaction and good closing speed on that play. But because of play design and execution, it still went for 12 yards or so.

Between formation, execution and having to respect the run, almost unstoppable with that defense. Houston needed to put Lonnie out wide to protect from a misdirection, but if you do that, its one less person in the box to defend against the run.

Our run game combined with our execution makes us very difficult to defend.
