So when Oakland decides to keep Carr because there's no clear upgrade for them and he wasn't the reason they couldn't beat Cincy. Oakland also has a questionable WR room.
Rodgers has options of GB, Denver, or if Tom retires, he can weigh Tampa. Then there's always NY. Cleveland is pretty far down the list. Especially with DPJ your #1.
Watson is still in limbo. We literally have no idea where that situation turns. For the better, or for the worst.
Russ, same as Rodgers. Cleveland is way down the list. Strong line, great Run game, questionable playcalling, ends there. Why Cleveland over other better WR situations?
There's 4 guys right there that would cost heavy draft capital. We won't be selecting any WR1's in this year's draft to help them guys asap.
Which leaves me to Cousins or Baker.
Cousins, in my opinion, shouldn't cost a 1st round pick. His contract is outrageous. Cousins also doesn't outduel Mahomes or Allen in that game last night. He may not ever outduel Joey. He couldn't even beat Baker in his 7-14 loss to the Browns.
Bash Baker everyday all you want. Who's the upgrade?!?!
"For all you mediocre QB gets us in" people, who cares, mediocre QB isn't beating that beast last night. I'd rather draft a high-end QB than trade for one better than the current situation, but not good enough to beat 5 others in the conference.
