Beer snob thread!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I moved to Charlotte last year and the craft beer scene is a giant step up from Birmingham. Burial and resident culture are my 2 favorites and I think burial ships to some states if you ever see it, worth trying
I used to live in Tennessee and would get Good People from Birmingham a lot. They were one of the better ones for sure. I am a sucker for brown ales, and their brown ale was dependable.

Brown Ale is my fave too, if ever in Phoenix, hit me up.

My go-to beer style is IPA, especially the west-coast styles that have a bit more of a hoppy bite to them. But I love a good brown ale, especially this time of year. Not quite as sweet and filling as some stouts and porters, hits the spot if I'm looking for a brew with more of a roasted malt profile. Bell's Best Brown Ale used to be a staple in my fridge this time of year, so sad they've stopped making it.

Every place out here has 6-10 IPAs on draft, I rearely drink them.

I started drinking New Castle in early 90's and have been in love with brown ale ever since. Hard to find New Castle on draft out here anymore, my go to Irish bar stopped carrying it on draft years ago and I still bitch about it, lol

Since it is almost that time of year, what is everyone's preferred Christmas ale? The last four years at Christmas we will visit my wife's family in Michigan, and I'll bring 4 or 5 Cleveland-area Christmas ales where we all do a blind taste-testing. 3 of those 4 years I picked GLBC as my favorite, and one year I preferred Brew Kettle's Winter Warmer.

Jubelale is very consistent and probably my #1 go-to of those kinds of beers.

From my trip to Indy. Guggman Haus. Really good beer and there were plenty of browns fans there

Anyone ever in the Phoenix area on this thread needs a beer buddy I will be there for sure.

I have 3 facilities around there and the one in Maricopa needs my attention so I may be out your way in the next few months.

Through my sports company last winter, I met Jaci Brown who is the Senior VP or content and communications with the Diamondbacks. When they made the WS just now, I emailed her to congratulate and half jokingly mentioned now is the time to visit AZ (expecting to get a reply sometime next year) and she followed up the next day and told me to give her a heads up when I'm on the way and her department will roll out the red carpet for me.

So, I'm DEFINITELY coming probably no later than late winter/early spring. I'll inbox you once I lock in details on those two variables so we can connect.

Hit me up here or facebook, For sure we need to hang out. I am on the northeast side of phoenix near an area called Desert Ridge if you want to figure how far away I am from where you are staying.

I’ve been on a Voodoo Ranger Imperial IPA kick. Mainly because it’s 9% and the best I can find in my podunk town, and I can’t seem to handle my whiskey at the moment.
