30 years old, coming off injury, almost 20 mill a year for 2 years? He is an incrdible 3 point shooter, but he is a very expencive one trick pony, not sure he is worth his contact AND a 1st....give them a couple of 2nds and salary relief to make a trade possible.
Remember.

I would prefer developing Windler than giving anything of value for Harris.

Unless I missed something he IS being paid! If somebody is out on “medical leave” you can’t dock their pay or take their job. Again I empathize UNLESS I’m wrong they haven’t taken any money from him. Correct if I’m wrong.

No, he's been fined over $10M.

That Joe Harris used to be a Cav? Sure, still think he is a one trick pony who is very good at that one trick
"For the Love of Joe," the Pulitzer Prize winning erotic thriller is still widely available in all formats on Amazon, PornHub and all fine book dealers.

I said this in another thread, but the more the Cavs continue to struggle with Garland out or limited, the more seriously I consider biting the bullet and trading for Simmons. We need a playmaker.

Bringing in Gordon or LeVert isn’t going to solve that.

Keep calm.

You trade for Ben Simmons, this becomes Ben's team and Garland becomes a 2nd string PG.

Worst take of the week. Why don't we see how we look with only two key players missing (instead of 4) before deciding to blow up the roster, which is what you are suggesting.

Spacing is our biggest deficiency and Simmons does nothing to improve that, he only makes it worse.

My thing with Simmons is-

If your team acquires him, he immediately brings drama. Drama because he's there's documented history of both incompetence (not developing a 3 pt shot, deferring in crucial game situations, etc), or simply pouting and faking mental illness until he gets his way. His agent is ENCOURAGING and ENABLING the latter. Combine that with a Kardashian fueled lifestyle and a garantuan contract?! JFC people.

I'm fully aware of how incredible he can be on both offense and defense. Thing is, I don't care how good the dude is - I think it's highly, highly likely he'd corrupt our core/young players and bring an inordinate amt of press down on us that our team isn't equipped to handle. We have a REALLY good thing going with Allen, Mobley, Garland, Sexton, and Okoro ... adding Ben severely undercuts what we're trying to do here, nvm the fact it would take a king's ransom with at least two of them to get him, plus a ton of 1st rounders that we should be guarding with our lives rn.

Every mistake he would make would be magnified.

Every passed up 3 pointer wouldn't be ignored by the fans.

TMZ would be all up in our business constantly.

Ben has all the talent in the world, but I really don't think he's worth the extra baggage. Pass.

Also worth noting that, after this season, Ben Simmons has 3 years and $110 million left on his contract...so if it doesn't work with the team that acquires him (whether its the Cavs or some other sucker), then that team's salary cap is screwed.

You're almost making it sound like it doesn't make sense to trade for Ben Simmons, no matter who you are?

A plugged in dude told me Simmons is most likely to land in Washington. :conf (11): He is most likely going to push for a major market, and Washington needs to move big salaries.
