The ratings fluctuate depending on how they are playing as well. It mostly looks accurate minus the injuries. Marc Gasol is definitely a lot higher than the 10th best center when healthy for example. And maybe Lillard is worthy of top 10, but his rating is probably higher from when he was on a hot streak.

Yeah, these are the Dynamic Ratings that were updated on like the 24th.

Lillard has been tough, but I'd put Paul George or Draymond Green in the top ten before him.

I tried to trade LeBron for Durant one night when I was pissed about a loss or something and the computer said no.

If LeBron is better, why didn't it allow the trade? Moron 2k

I know this is a joke, but it actually does take into account age and potential etc. in those trades. It isn't perfect, but the players' values aren't totally tied to their rating.

I grew up with the guy who does the ratings now...give him a lot of shit over the Cavs...any complaints I should pass along?

Kyrie has a c+ I think in perimeter defense iirc

The finishing for Derozan, Livingston, and Barnes is stupid high. If they are the benchmark, than LBJ & Kyrie shouldnt miss layups like they occasionally do. I play online daily, and the three players mentioned above rarely miss layups or dunks in heavy traffic. Barnes has posterized the entire Cavs roster in my experiences. To the point where he will dunk on LBJ, Moz & TT on a drop step.

Steph Curry's floater is way to high. I understand he does it better than most, but given the rating its a damn near guarantee, despite being in high traffic. If anything everyone's floater should be lower.

Passing the ball greater than 15 feet is hit or miss. I have seen Magic Johnson fail at throwing an outlet pass from the top of the 3pt line to halfcourt. Only to have the ball sail 20 feet over the recipients head.

Pass along to other departments:
While I like that sticking your hand up on defense decreases your opponents chance of making his shot (like it should), I hate that if you are on the side or behind the shooter, they arent affected in the slightest.

Too many times the AI is flat out retarded and creates a huge opening to drive through if you get beat when guarded the PG. To the point where I have physically seen them chase their guy and completely run past a penetrating guard.

Give me credit in Play Now Online when someone quits. If you pick a tier 2 or 3 team and beat a higher tier, you are supposed to get bonus wins. I have killed people with the Pelicans on multiple occasions, but I never get the bonus because people quit before the game is over. Instead of getting "3 wins", I just get the 1. Making it almost pointless to play with anyone outside of the Cavs.

Runes have killed the enjoyment out of MyTeam in the hardcore community.

Oh God, I have so much more but cant think of anything. 2k is my favorite game series. I have owned all but 1 year. In that one year it was in protest because I thought 2009 (I think) was a dumpster fire. I got back into it when gameplay improved. 2015 had one lapse on a patch, that they fixed a few weeks later. This game as a whole, because of the mechanics, AI (or lack thereof), and some of the animations is almost unplayable. If they had legitimate my loyalty would be elsewhere.

Oh and there is a dumb ass animation where if the ball is poked lose at your feet, you just stumble forward and do not regain possession. I have never seen it happen in real life. If someone loses possession, they immediatly reach for it and pick it back up. Not stumble around like an idiot. I truly question if more than 50% of 2k's staff watches basketball.

Yeah, @bigfoot5415 is nailing it in here. 2K was a massive disappointment this season. Stopped playing it way earlier than I have any other 2K in over 6 years.
Once I finish Play Now Online for the trophy. Ill scrap this game. The only reason I bought it was because last year I made a fair amount of money off of selling MT. This year I made a few hundred, but nothing like last year. Without that, shit gameplay makes it harder for me to justify purchasing.

Just curious, where did you sell it?

Might auction off my team and do the same.

MyTeam especially this year was an absolute disgrace with all those scrubs getting diamond cards for no reason. Just a complete and utter joke this year. And that has been my favorite mode since it was introduced. Such a shame. 2K only cares about money and people spending on VC to get cheesey as fuck cards.

This year I sold early on Reddit, but 2k brought the hammer down on the subreddit that was going. Last year I was selling up until one week before 2k16 came out. The trick is to getting whatever exploit there is on an alt account (the internet always finds one) and unloading early. At one point I was selling $32 per 100k.

I've talked to him quite a lot about the AI...Hall of Fame CPU in MyPlayer is way too unrealistic...final score in every game (if you play 12 minute quarters) is something like 130 something to 120 something. Also talked about how bad AI defense is on your players team.

Talked to him about that stupid contact dunk animation where you go up and proceed to throw the ball over the rim for some reason. Talked to him about how an NBA player can easily shoot a normal looking jumper from just inside half court...hate that shots from there are animated like a full court heave for most players. I have talked about outlet passes, in that most bigs should be able to throw a chest pass out to half court without it going 10 rows into the stands, but from what he tells me that is an animation trigger that those guys have to fix.

I have talked about finishing with him and how it seems the AI has more success finishing in traffic than the player. It's almost impossible to contest a shot at the rim as a smaller guy and make them miss.

I've talked to him about how a C or PF can get bodied up by a CPU PG in the post (they've done a better job in discerning the various levels of athleticism recently, but strength is still an issue IMO).

But mostly I complain about a) Spike Lee's touch on the product (fucking Frequency Vibrations?) b) that stupid fucking frequing and vibing dance you do after made shots sometimes that allows your man to get open for a shot c) I just dominated college basketball and was taken in the top 5 picks...why the fuck am I a 58 overall as a rookie, and d) why doesn't Delly have a Lob City Badge (he might now, but he didn't last time I played).
