though most here seem to reject that
If this is the criteria for what you determine is "right", I can just peace on out. There's no point in playing an unwinnable game. You have more people here representing one point of view than the other, literally every topic you'll be "right" on. That's a really bad metric for determining, well...anything.

It is important to note the viewpoint expressed is not objectively correct or wrong.

It is an observation based on the preceding 30 posts or so on the matter.

Is there any point where Stannis claims what you're saying?

Saying most here reject the BK/Biden comparison does not imply any judgment on the opinion of that majority.

Yikes.

Yikes.
The complete sentence was, "For all the attempted comparisons with BK, though most here seem to reject that, there are two major points left unsaid."

The prepositional phrase of "though most here seem to reject that" is dismissing an idea based it's rate of agreement w/in this (here) population. To which I said this population is hardly equally represented.

I could argue that Pluto is a full sized planet, though most here seem to reject that, there are arguments to be made for it.

Yes, I recognize Pluto is a dwarf planet, but I wanted an innocuous example that doesn't carry along w/ it the emotion of #metoo.
Disagree if you want, but you didn't seem to understand why I said what I said and I think that's been explained now.

He is literally stating that most people on here are rejecting the comparison between BK and Biden.

Also, your example doesn't follow.

I understand you very clearly. You're yelling at a perceived injustice that doesn't exist.

But don't let me stop you. Have some fun with it.

I'm yelling? Sorry that I took the time to answer you in good faith.

Please see the finger, if you're having trouble, read between the lines.

No, it's a problem w/ my Klingon. You didn't say that.
You have not truly experienced Shakespeare unless you've heard it in the original Klingon.

I do wonder how different this would be if Biden had 24 accusers and Trump had 1.

I am confident that Bill Clinton and Trump are scumbags towards women. It has been broughtto my attention that Ronald Regan also belongs in this category.

I’ve listened to the Reade allegation and Joe’s response and I think he is being truthful. Now NPR has interviewed 74 staffers and none of them collaborate her story in any way. I put Joe in the camp of Obama, both Bushes, and Jimmy Carter, where I do think they are good people. For the young folks on this board, you just don’t understand how out of the ordinary politics have been the last 4 years. It’s not normal and we need to get back to normal. If Trump was running against Kasich or Romney, I would run to the polls Nov 3 to vote for them. I’m a Dem but I would not sit it out against Trump. There is nothing inherently wrong with some core conservative principles, but the Trump/Palin tea party wing has absolutely and grotesquely hijacked a once proud party. It has to end now.

Back to Biden, I like Joe, he is a guys guy, very experienced, and he has shown the willingness to listen and compromise. Whether that is with the John McCain’s of the right or the Bernie’s of the left. He and Obama got us out of the Great Recession and handed Trump his great economy. Trump and the GOP super charged the stock market with their corporate tax cut, but otherwise he has been very weak policy wise and hasn’t gotten much done in his 3 years. And now we have seen him fail us as a leader during a crisis. He simply has to go.

I really do think common sense prevails and working people understand Trump for the con he was. I hope moderate Republicans understand Joe is the centrist model and will vote for him and then get back to good faith arguments. I enjoyed watching Bill Kristol for years and hearing well reasoned conservative arguments. Not the meme gutter politics of this Trump/Palin wing.

You simply can not justify voting for Trump this fall. You can rationalize it to yourself but you can’t justify it.

Joe will be a good President. He’s a bit dull, and he will need to pick a strong VP, but he will help us heal and get us out of this mess.

I still like Amy Klobuchur for VP. I’m sticking with that. Edit: Though Harris prob has just as good odds. Amy or Kamala, it has to be one of them.

Pretty good analysis here doing a state poll comparison. Basically it says Biden is leading in the state polls, and he is leading by enough that even if a similar repeat of 2016 happened (states went an extra percentage or two toward trump) biden still wins. Also compares 538 and RealClearPolitics 2016 predictions to current polls.

So agree with this, I tend to the moderate myself thus my dislike for George W who was to far right for me, but never did i doubt he was a good person or not. He seemed honest even though he tended to surround himself with some snakes.

Speaking of George W, I really wish Colin Powell would have ran for president. He would of been a great choice as our first Black President, and technically are first Latino president (although not Hispanic).

Biden looked good on Colbert.

Told an old man story, but he was on point.

Trump has to be careful not to oversell the dementia narrative.

The Democrats in 2000 and 2004 really overdid the "W. is really stupid" thing.

So when debate time came around, with expectations so low, W. had nowhere to go but up even with middling performances.
