Board & Card Games? Not Risk or Monopoly in here...

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Anyone here play resistance before? Just got it sent to me from my bro.

I own about 100 board games and card games with many expansions. It's one of my favorite activities to do with friends and family. Try out Seven Wonders, Pandemic, Ghost Stories, Munchkin, Kings of New York, Incan Gold (if you want to ease into board games), Cheaty Mages, cutthroat caverns, saboteur (get the expansion as well for sure on this one), escape (there's a big box out for this one now that has all of the expansions), and dominion are all good ones. I could go on, but you can start off with this.

I also second Cosmic Encounter.

Blokus and Telestrations are great games.

Ticket to Ride is awesome, I finally got the chance to play it this the last two nights.

I played the battle star galactica board game the other night. It's good fun and a bit clue like in that nobody is supposed to know if you're the cylon

Cards against Humanity

I love this game. I play it with my parents once a month or so, I've never seen them laugh so hard in my life. Crabs Adjust Humidity is worth picking up if you want some additional cards as well.

More like Dorks Against Virginity right guys?

I played Pandemic last night for the first time. We ended up playing 3 games, winning two of them. The game was awesome, plenty of strategy and the coop nature of it is an interesting dynamic compared to what I'm used to. I would rate this game very highly. Check it out if you haven't played yet.

Wizard card game. (I haven't checked to see if it has been posted in here before) But good game. It is kind of like Euchre/Spades(kinda) but no partners, so good to play when you have odd number of people during a game night or when you don't head out. Try and explain super quick:

Regular deck then the W (Wizard ) and JE (Jester) cards. 1st deal around the dealer deals 1 card to everyone. When that round is over, the next person deals 2 cards, and so on...The dealer flips over a card and that card is trump. You hold out your hands and on the count of 3 you hold out how many fingers you think the amount of tricks you can win. The first W played is auto win. JE cards are basically pass cards, doesn't hurt or help. Then the rest of the deck plays A-2.

It's challenging when you get a lot of cards in your hands and W's because you want to be cautious when to throw them. You may hold on to long and other people will throw their W's then yours may not end up getting used. You follow suit to what is lead, like Euchre.

That may sound confusing as shit and I thought I was going to hate it b/c I thought it was going to be like D&D or some other game that young Asian kids will play for 5 days straight not eating, showering and end up dying. But it's fun, cause it's like Euchre.

We do four 9 hour days and a then a half day on Fridays at my work. Well, a couple of us decided we're going to play a board game each week (or maybe every other) after our day ends on Friday.

First up is Dead of Winter, which is a really good co-op (for the most part) survival game. I've only played it a handful of times, and we have yet to win, but it's a lot of fun. There's lots of strategy, and each character is fairly unique. There is certainly some luck involved with dice, but I think there are enough actions available each turn that you can overcome bad rolls and still contribute solidly.

I have this in my Amazon wishlist already, nice!

This is a slightly older picture of our game ladder (Scattergories has been replaced by Dungeon Petz).

Not counting the things we picked up at Wizard World Comic Con this past weekend. But, like video games, you get such a backlog of new games that you don't know where to start. Can't get enough of tabletop geekery.

You replaced SCATTEGORIES?? That is a classic game to make up shit.

Ice Cream : Frozen Fat Free Friendly's Fudge Frankenberry.

6 pointer.

I like the color of your walls, btw. Very craft 2x IPA of you.
