Braxton Miller Out For Season?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Good thing for Ohio State is they still play in the Big Ten. They'll likely lose to Michigan State and could have issues with Navy, Virginia Tech, and Michigan, but should have a decent season.

This does serve as a reminder to why preseason polls are stupid...first top 25 should come out Week 4 or 5 at the earliest.

Torrance wants to be mentored by Braxton.

Whew

We do have alot of potential on this team, sky hasn't fallen just yet but as others have said, even with Miller we were not a true championship team.

The polls are a joke. While I agree the SEC has some great teams, when those teams play a cupcake non-conference and then beat up eachout they clim the ranks because of the high preseason rankings. A team ranked 4 could lose to a team ranked 6. and only drop a few spots. But if there was no ranking until week 4 or 5, you could base it off the games not who beat who and what they were ranked.

Anyone else hear he's transfering? Oregon, TCU, Baylor are the front runners?

I heard he's going to follow Tom Herman to Kansas/Houston/Michigan.

1) I thought Kansas hired a coach already. Some coach from Texas A&M.

2) Houston might make sense for Herman but I don't think Braxton Miller would go to the American Conference for a non-contender for a year of eligibility even if he is really close to Herman(Something I don't know)

3) And Herman to Michigan. Michigan isn't going to settle for a coordinator hire, imo. They might not get their top pick(Harbaugh) but I think they want a coach who has been a head coach before. Someone proven. As for Braxton, again, I don't see him going to a rebuild type team.

I just think Braxton is going to want to go to a team that will contend right away. I'd think he'd go to the NFL before going to the likes of Houston.

Oregon would make more sense imo

I read that both Herman and Braxton are staying..

I was being sarcastic. Miller's dad just said he's coming back to OSU next year.

Herman's name has been talked about with Michigan.

Ohio State or the NFL, not a difficult decision...honestly.

He's not going to (insert school here) for a season of questionable health while learning a new system that is nowhere near as good as OSU.

I don't agree, I think transferring might be his best move to get the NFL. If he doesn't go in the first 2 rounds, the team that picks him wont commit to him unless he is an early pick and he might never develop as a true pocket passer.

I see transferring as his best move.

And how exactly is he going to prove he's a true pocket passer by going to a new school where he'll:

1. Have no chemistry with receivers
2. Is learning a new offensive system
3. Will spend the majority of the year returning to 100 percent health
4. Be on a worse team

I've got news for you, Braxton is never going to be a true pocket passer. Transferring to Duke or Wisconsin or insert any school certainly won't get him there either.

He's a multi-year developmental project in the NFL, if you're not going back to OSU to get healthy, then you may as well start the NFL clock before you're another year older.

He should probably go to the NFL. Whatever he does, I wish him the absolute best. He may not have played this season but we aren't where we are today without him.
