Braxton Miller Out For Season?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I don't agree, I think transferring might be his best move to get the NFL. If he doesn't go in the first 2 rounds, the team that picks him wont commit to him unless he is an early pick and he might never develop as a true pocket passer.

I see transferring as his best move.
It just makes too much sense. If he stays he ends up in a competition. It would be folly for Urban to hand him the starting QB job based upon what Barrett and Jones have done. If he struggles- and seeing as he is coming off his second shoulder surgery that is a distinct possibility- he will get the quick hook. He learns and gains nothing if he ends up on the pine.

Folks are really grasping at straws to not see the obvious here. It makes sense for both parties to move on but Braxton could certainly still use another year of college but that makes more sense in a place where he is just about guaranteed to start. That just isn't osu.

Brax better stay.

There are really two legitimate options for Braxton:

1. The Supplemental Draft
2. Being healthy and at OSU as a QB.

If his shoulder is shot and can't throw the ball anymore like many suspect his best option would be to stay at OSU and transform into a RB/WR.

In reality, Braxton better learn how to sell cars and live off his fame.

Why would he waste his time trying to learn a new position at OSU?

At that point, he should just go to the Supplemental Draft.

because if he wants to go the NFL he's going to have to learn a new position anyway.

Says you.

The NFL Draft Advisory Committee disagrees.

But if he has to learn a new position via this injury, the NFL is the place to learn it.

Buckeyes are really going to go into next year with Braxton, JT, Cardale, Collier, Gibson, and Burrow at QB? I'm sure Gibson and/or Burrow will be redshirting but that is just.... unfair.

I heard potential for him to go 2nd-3rd round as a QB leading up to his senior year and before the injury (obviously he would not have gone that high if he declared right now given the injury). Showed great strides from his sophomore to junior year as a passer, and he's still the most elusive runner I've seen at QB, and it's not as if he's a small elusive runner either. He was primed for a monster senior year, and probably boost his stock even more.

I would still go with Braxton next year over Jones and Barrett, but I expect formations that use at least two QBs at times.

They just said on The Fan, Miller will be used as a hybrid WR wild cat position player. His arm is still not completely healed.

And Ohio State now has 6 QB's who are better than any QB on the Browns roster..
