One thing to remember, many of the top teams are going to be in cap hell. The Browns are strong, we are Estimated 24 mill under the cap. Next year KC is 18 mill over, and that is before the full amount of Mahommes kicks in, just the roster bonus at this point. Saints an insane 99 million over, Bills are in decent shape with no cap space, but that is before they pay their QB (we have to pay ours)

We are in good shape, i would like to get a couple of decent free agents for 3 or 4 year contracts if they will bite because there wont be allot of money to give out and we can lock up some people. We already paid Myles and Hunt, Need to pay Ward, Chubb, Baker and Teller.

Maybe pay Teller a year early for less of a cap hit later? Do something with baker this off season too?

But we really are in good Cap situation going forward, i think we lose OBJ sooner than later, cap allocation of needs, but probably here this next season, with injury and all not very tradeable imo. 2022 only 130 mill under contract with 30 players, cut or trade Odell with a 220 cap? 25 mill rollover? That year is looking good with well over 100 million still available. Now that will shrink this off season alone as we trade and move people, but it gives us room to address our needs in both the draft and free agency,

Also we need to get OBJ healthy and get him acclimated fully into the offense in the offseaon.

WE missed that guy so bad today. Missed the attention he draws from other defenders and the most underrated part of OBJ's game that we really miss is that short stuff. Those quick routes that he can turn into 10 yard gains.
I agree that we missed his talent.

KC started playing press man coverage at the line of scrimmage, and we needed a guy like OBJ who can create separation and burn them for that kind of defense.

I expect we'll see more defenses playing like that where it matters in the playoffs.

I dont see OBJ as a long term piece, if Baker wants paid, he only gets one star wr and one TE, with wanting to keep chubb and Hunt signed long term, we need to allocate the money to improve the defense and keep Teller long term.

OBJ and Landry will both have their contracts restructured. Their contracts aren't even that bad. After they get restructured they'll look even better.

It's not really about them being long term pieces. It's more about getting the most value out of them while they are here. That will call for their deals to be restructured.

Hoping they will agree for a restructure. Losing Landry would be hard. The guy has been an integral part of our Team.

Didn't we offer an extension to Higgins already? I know there were some post about that weeks ago. I wonder if we keep him.

Also, Njoku would be a hard piece to let go after his development this year. The guy became good in the blocking game and he is still a big target for Baker.

Njoku>Hooper

Do y'all remember when NE beat KC in overtime and everybody bitched because Mahomes couldn't get the ball back in overtime?

People wanted to change the overtime rules because of how salty they were.

KC won the Super Bowl the next season.
Change the touchback rule and we win next year???? I’m in

I think an Odell for Myles jack deal would work out well for both sides. Jack is a great cover LB and reliable tackler. We can play him all over the field. And urb would have his big play WR to go with Lawrence.

Get an lb, de and safety. Nothing will stop them next year, but the refs (and Goodell):git:

We can get Myles Jack without giving up OBJ though

Not sure we need OBJ. We could use another speedy wide receiver. But I'd prefer we get those legs in the draft
