There's one more hole, but you need one of these to find it:

Bandwagoner? Son, I’ve been sticking my with the Browns since I was a wee lad for the fumble game. And yes that is my first clear Browns memory. So gtfo with this bandwagon crap. From Gerald McNeil to Touchdown Tommy, the other Micheal Jackson, Nahee Mustafa, the corpse of John Jurcovic, Chivarini, Chaun Thompson, the rubber band man Kamerion Wimbley, Beau Bell, watching DA’s interceptions in a windy Paul Brown Stadium, to the Shurmer years, being a season ticket holder for the Petttine years….I’ve been deep in the shit worse than Nam, so don’t call me a bandwagoner. Put some damn respect on my name. It became clear after Haslam bought the team that he had no clue what he was doing. I followed them but it wasn’t appointment television. Not wasting Sunday’s anymore. I voted with my walllet and change finally happened.

The point of this post is to note how truly far away we were from 1999-2019. We never had a chance. Now we know what a championship roster looks like. GTFO of here with the bandwagon crap.

Lol.

Gee - why would anyone think that...?

There hasn’t really been any reason to watch the Browns until now. Even last year, I knew they had no chance at a SB with that defense. Now….ok maybe.... was smart enough to stop watching the Browns around 2015.

Let's be honest:

When Pettine announced that Johnny is taking over as starting quarterback and the best skill position player by far was Gary Barnidge, how long did you expect to build your weekend around a Browns game?

When Hue Jackson announced that RG3 would be the starting quarterback and the starting safeties were Ibraheim Campbell and Derrick Kindred - neither of whom were able to play free safety - how many games did you plan to watch?

There were absolutely seasons where I knew by the end of preseason I'd be doing other things on Sunday by early October. It didn't mean I stopped being a Browns fan. When the team tanks and you don't live in the Cleveland area, the effort to see dog shit becomes a huge barrier.

That's a bit different than "stopped watching the Browns around 2015."

Anyway, I don't blame anyone for watching or not watching. I was just pointing out that it's hardly fair to blame someone for assuming he was a bandwagon fan based on his prior posts.

I have had Sunday Ticket since 2002 I believe. I have never missed a Browns game in that time and I knew we werent a playoff roster most of those years yet I still watched.

I am a huge Clevleand sports fan, I am 49 years old. We have won a total of 1 championship and been to 7 championship games over all 3 major sports, so in almost 150 seasons of my Cleveland sports fandom, if i wanted a championship roster to watch the game, i wouldnt have watched a whole lot of sports.

Switching gears, evidently an ESPN article ranked the Browns off-season 10th overall. Here's the reasoning:

What they could have done differently: Cleveland could have gone after one of the other available edge rushers as opposed to Clowney, who signed a one-year, $8 million deal. Justin Houston and Melvin Ingram both have knee injuries in their past, but then again, so does Clowney. Signing Clowney also seemingly led the Browns to cut Richardson, and while the organization has talked about possibly bringing the former Jets tackle back, he might be the better player at this point.

I chalk it up to the usual reason - Let the bad franchises in large markets believe they have a good shot in 2021. Nobody will remember this article when the Saints miss the playoffs.

I read the article, I think allot of us put to much into ESPN only promoting the large markets.

Tampa is a small market and they were #1. They brought back all their players which won the super bowl which is why they are #1. Dumb? Very, favoring large market? No

#2, New England, not sure if they are a large market, not a small market. They had short term and long term QB answers, Cam Newton resigned short term, Mac Jones long term. I dont think either is the answer, so also very dumb.

Its just a horrible article. They have Baltimore at #4, small market, KC at #6, small market, NOLA at #7 who fucking lost Brees, how that isnt bottom i am not sure, but anyways, really just a dumb article, after i saw NOLA ahead of us I just shut out the article as written by someone who should never write on the NFL again.

It's a dumb, lazy list with awful analysis based on the blurb you posted. I put zero stock in it.

I just read an article that listed Stefanski as the 18th best coach in the NFL... I know it’s only been one year but to have him that low was ridiculous.

True, but remember, a little more than a year ago, he wasn't even on the list....so he's making progress and moving up the list.

Any other coaches ahead of him who have been coaching 2 years or less?
