Today at Noon..

Suggs is injured, go figure?, and won't be playing. Willie Green gets the start at RB.

Braylon Edwards will finally make his debut.

Johnson is injured, Frye moves up to #2 QB. Will get time vs Lions 1st team D.

Former Browns Jeff Garcia and Kevin Johnson are on the Lions roster..

So we are going aginst the Valvet Lion? Oooo

man bryant is looking great while Cribbs is amazing me right now on these kick returns.

Garcia looked good...he finally completed some passes to the Browns.

^^^hahaha. Good one Dat. Charlie Frye to Braylon Edwards for a touchdown!!!! we'll be seeing plenty of that in the years to come boys. enjoy it!

Droughns is a man, straight up taking hits bouncing off defenders and never going down after the initial contact. Green had a couple nice runs. Our secondary has 6 picks in 2 games 2 to Brian Russell and 2 today including a touchdown reception for Michael Jameson. Our DB's are a headache..literally Pool last week Daylon during training camp and Baxter today. Mickens didn't look impressive and hsi size 5 8 isn't something to be happy about. Dilfer looked solid in some extended minutes as did Antonio Bryant If I woke up and saw that Andre Davis has been traded I wouldn't mind all he does is drop passes and blends in and doesn't make many plays. I think we have a nice punch with Bryant Northcutt and obviously Edwards.

the o-line played excellent, besides the one sack which was more of a coverage sack than anything.

our defense against the run was muched improved, besides that one run of 21 yards the running backs did not do much.

the one thing i noticed was that we would seem to allways put them in 3 and longs but they were converting on them. i thought that with crennel that would not happen but maybe since its a preseason rac doesnt want to let out his plays.

overall i feel better about our brownies than i did last week.

Too bad these games don't count. We would be half way into beating our record last year. :chuckles:

Braylon getting it done in his hometown, good stuff.

I vote for William Green to be the starter :)

I love Andre Davis and would be pretty upset if he was traded, but the dude just can't stay healthy. :(

I'm glad to see that Antonio Bryant has emerged as the leader of the recieving corps. Northcutt, Edwards, Davis (if he's still here), that is some pretty good recievers. We should have less of a problem running the ball this year, and that should lead to some big plays down the field.

Our secondary is stout, especially if McCutch gets it together. Mickens is a solid veteran, been playing the nickle for the jets for years. Just look at McCutch, you don't have to be big to be good at CB. The guys only been with the team a few days.

It's our front seven that worries me. Actually, it's predominantly our line. I think we have good players at the linebacker spot, they just have to get use to the new scheme, but I think we're severely lacking in talent on the DL. If we could trade Andre Davis for a decent starting DL from a 3-4 defense that'd be huge. Depending on how good the guy was, i'd even throw in a draft pick.

Overall, I was also feeling much better about this game. I think our offense will get it done this year. And hey, if we can run the ball, the other team won't have alot of time to score on us and our sad defense will at least be well rested!

Yeah, our DLine is struggling. Player for player trades almost never happen, let alone this deep in training camp so all we can look foward to out of a trade is a draft pick.

Id love to take Douglas off the Eagles hands though, haha

I wish we woulda signed Jeremiah Trotter last year when we had him in town :(...I'll do Andre Davis for Lito Shepherd :) or like mac said Douglas..

we will all see what a quality o-line will do for the defense. by winning the t.o.p. the defense wont be gasping for air at the end of the game.

as long as the lineman stay in their gap responsibility the d shouldnt be terrible.

next draft will surely be for the defensive side of the ball.
