Browns hire Andrew Berry

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Wonder how much of a shake up the front office will go through with Berry coming back. I think he worked with a decent amount (if not everyone) in the front office currently.

If the Browns don't explain the process between Stefanski and Berry and the scenario in which they communicated and decided to move forward with this marriage, they're doing themselves a huge disservice.

Putting my PR hat back on, they'd do well to plant a few questions at the introductory press conference so they can marginalize the effect of Haslam hiring a former personnel man to pair with Stefanski, after the Vikings #2 turned them down.

We've seen multiple reports that Berry loved Stefanski during the interview process last off-season & the only GM name we've heard linked to Stefanski (until Paton's name came up late in the process) through the coaching search was Berry.

By all accounts, it seems as though, at the very least, Stefanski was always good with Berry in the role, even if he wasn't necessarily his 1st choice

I love the hire. The one worry I do have, is that we now have 1st Year Coach and GM though. While I think long-term this is going to be a home-run, always have that worry the 1st year or two could be a little bump as they learn their roles. The one thing I do like is that you have both a GM and Head Coach though that are very smart and played football in college. I think this is the best match of GM/Coach we have had in a longtime. They both seem to be leaders but not leadership on the I have to be the loudest or most vocal person in the room. The kind of leader who will lead my example and work ethic.

I am trying to temper my expectations, as I was a fan of the Dorsey and Kitchens hire. But this move seems the opposite of the standard Browns move. We have a clear structure, and smart data driven individuals making the decisions.
