If he was going around throwing multi-year deals at ARob for $16m/yr, Sammy Watkins getting $30m/GUARANTEED AT SIGNING, among other higher paid FA's, then we should worry. But bringing in some vets on slightly higher than their market worth is not a bad thing for such a young team.

For example take Fells contract. its a 12 million dollar contract and 6 million is guaranteed. But he has several easy to earn bonuses, such as being on the active roster for games. So it really depends on the contract.

People also tend to forget that there is a minimum spend rule in the NFL. A percentage of cap space must be used by league rule.
