BROWNS OFF-SEASON 2020

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

T.J. Carrie
Demetrius Harris
Eric Kush
Adarius Taylor.

Lots of cap cuts there, though Harris was also extremely bad.

Good start. That adds 13.3M in cap space to the app. 49M they already had. So starting out with 62M

Some of the other potential cuts are pretty obvious(Kirksey, Hubbard, Vernon, Mitchell, Lamm, Burnett)

Though to be fair, with the amount of cap they do have, there is no rush to create room. They do have the luxury to wait and see how FA unfolds and even the draft before making the final call on some of these players. A few I wonder if they might be candidates for renegociated deals at numbers more in line with their current production/health(Vernon, Kirksey)

Carrie wasn’t worth the cap hit. Average slot CB at best. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Hubbard next.

Creates a lot of cap space, but the team also just cut three guys that started over 50% of the season, and who contributed in every game they were healthy. I am good with the move, but this is always the fear with new front offices, which is that they gut large portions of the team.

Yeah, but outside of Carrie the other 3 were trash. Can get guys for the vet min to perform as well as they did. Now, get Hubbard out of here next.

Woosh. That was a difficult ascension out of "cap hell". :chuckle:

Probably enough to pay half of the yearly salary that Myles Garrett is going to earn sooner than later.

The other half will likely come from Kirksey and Hubbard.

Dead cap 500k, saves 2.5 in salary, definitely could see it coming since the rookies took all of his time no need to keep him. Smart move

Carrie was ok when he was called upon due to injuries at the top of the depth chart. Aside from that, the other 3 sucked on ice.

Carrie saves us 6.75, but carry (no pun intended) his 1.8 in dead cap this year. Carrie was one I pointed out should be a cap casualty because 7 million is allot to pay a 4th corner, another smart move. I am guessing Kirksey might be a cap casualty too, 2,4 in dead, but saves us almost 8 million.
